Sry for my bad english if its bad! German on road ;)
In the Trailer we saw that every robot is destroyed if he get hit.
So i´m asking you.Do you like the idea of 1 HIT KILL?

For me, i like the idea of 1 hit kill. If i think back to supcom 1-2 i dont liked the thing that a little unit can take 3-5 (depends on..). Ill find it realy unrealistic that units can eat more than they look like. So if 1 big laser or 1 big shell hit a little battleunit and the unit dont die...whats that?!?! i mean the unit only lose some hp?But ok ok
If 1 unit can eat more than 1 shoot pls technical error or damage to units.

So now your turn. What do you think?

This really depends on the situation. Should a bertha 1 hit a small tank? Yes, Should a small tank 1 hit a small tank? No.

BIG guns shooting at small units can result in one hit one kill.
but normal fights should be definitely based on hitpoints like in TA, SupCom or any other normal RTS. The trailer is just a trailer of the concept, I wouldn't take too many information from that.

I think that's just so it looks cool in the video.

It would probably be very hard to balance in practice though. Give it a try, okay, but don't do it if it doens't work. We can always write it as a mod.

Definitely just a matter of making it look cool in a limited amount of time. Units will obviously have health and deal varying damage, so every unit will have different survivability and offensive capabilities.

    Ok thanks for answer.

I dont dont like the idea of HP but its still strange that units can eat and eat without technical failure or something.

But I like RTS and PA stands for it so I take that.

Yeah, you can't just extremely overgeneralize like the OP suggests and frankly it removes a lot of dimensions from combat, shifting the focus purely to range and weapon speed and invalidating a large amount of the other weapon types and stats that normally add depth to combat and unit designs itself.

Remember that they use unknown future technology! It need not be unrealistic just because they don't look tough. Perhaps in the future it will be easier to make good armor than good weapons -- thus allowing units to take a bunch of hits before breaking! In my opinion it also makes for more interesting gameplay with battles lasting a while.

If your first level assault unit gets hit by a 9 quintillion kg asteroid, it's going to be a one hit kill... unless said unit is named Asura.

1-hit kills encourage sup-com style battles: large build-up, short engagement, one side completely destroyed and no ability to retreat from combat. It would be even worse in these regards though.

Units need to live long enough for the following to be viable:

    a) Retreat from a battle in progress
    b) Reinforce a battle in progress

I vote for High HP, Low damage, like TA.

1 hit kill would be entirely a numbers game so no, no thanks.

When a big projectile hits a small unit, I want that unit extra dead, extra fast. Kudos points if all units have a "splatter" animation for a sudden catastrophic loss of HP that's far more violent than their normal death animation.

Obviously every hit from any weapon shouldn't be a 1 hit kill though... that'd just be silly.
