I felt I could have posted this in the stickied threads, but it would get lost among the ridiculous garbage being posted in there. NO CLASS IS OVERPOWERED. Everything has an advantage or a counter, that's called balance. 1 class isn't going to work against everything in the game, they are all evened out. The most common complaints I see are about airstrikes. My first thought is LOL. If you are dumb enough to sit still under 1 for the 4 seconds it takes to drop, then go play something else that doesn't require a brain. Second,the shotgun. If you complain about a weapon that can't hit anything more than 5 feet away, go play something else. Some of these other complaints are so ridiculous that I thought people were joking or being sarcastic. On a separate note, the 1 thing I would tweak is gremlins. Just something minor like allowing turrets to shoot them when they run through shaveice, or less total bots in 1 wave. Otherwise, this game is surprisingly balanced and the people complaining either use unbalanced teams or have only played 10 matches.
Gremlins? True Turrets can't shoot them, but in my eyes they are the weakest bots out there, except buzzers of course, lol. Gremlins are easily disposed of by players. I would say gap shot's range needs to be cut back by only about 5 feet? Any ideas on that? Just curious.
Gapshots die very easily. It was evidenced during the last tournament that gremlins are ridiculous and sometimes will run past the other team and drop the moneyball. IMO, they should only attack the moneyball after all enemy turrets are gone and pros are dead/on higher ground. Maybe that would work just fine. Honestly, I wouldn't care if they did nothing, I'm just saying that if they change any gameplay, it should be that.
I wouldnt mind if they changed that, they shouldnt be able to attack the moneyball when turrets are up i agree with you on that one. I thought you were just saying they're too strong because they are fairly easy to kill, but i can see how them attacking the moneyball would get annoying.
my problem with the shotgun is that i have to get into its range with the tank to kill a support and if he hits all his shots i die first even with the most health/defense i can possibly have in the game. i agree about the gremlins. they are easy to kill but they can take out some of the weaker classes pretty fast and ive seen em take down a moneyball
Rail gun him, blind him before you charge, or knock him over with the lvl 3 jet charge. Or you could just burn him from outside of shotty range.
After playing for a couple of weeks, I would tend to agree with this. I would say potentially some classes are marginally more powerful than others, but player skill and using all classes strategically makes them all very close on utility and effectiveness. Players picking up on the very minor differences in outright stats and then blowing them up into full blown "X is OP" threads are incorrect in their assertions.
I agree with the gremlin ideas but maybe make them not able to knock the moneyball down period? idk but all classes and maps are very well balanced and thats what makes this game so great + its like one of my favorite games of all time DoTa and HoN!
Lol gremlins piss me off with the Support, the shotgun is a one shot kill but when you get swarmed by them you can't do ****! Not saying to change them but damn do they piss me off. Also, you shouldn't get beat out by a Support's shotty, even if he gets the first shot you should be able to take him head on with the Jet gun. just space it out nicely and the Shotgun should do minimal damage. Also railgun does fairly nicely.
