Yeah, those bigger terrain features really add to atmosphere.

I wish they had big stuff, but make it kinda rare, i.e. no more that 1 unique big mountain per planet etc.

I also love how desert biome has ruined ancient cities, stonehange, unit cannon wreck... wish more planets had small manmade props. Ruins of cities that you can reclaim, ancient pyramids, stuff like that. It seems like it's only few simple models made and added for generator to pick occasionally, right? Cities instead of forests, that'd be awesome.

And damn, that grass with no trees. I think in current, all the grass has trees on it?

I argued for a while that the old terrain features were much nicer than what we currently have. I'd love to have those mesas and mountains back - I strongly dislike the current desert biome.

I wonder if anyone with a copy of alpha PA could move the old terrain files into new PA, as a server mod perhaps?

It was declared risky by one of the devs releasing server side mods, but cliffs biome definitely already broke the ice on that one.

About the biome i think it could need some more work but its sure better then what it was before !

This is just how i think about it, i know everyone hafs his own thoughts

8:00 minutes in Mavor talks about dark side and light side looking mature :p
13:30 Mavor talks about unit wreckage degradation based on overkill.

The nights, mesas 'huge crack and canyon', sharper mountains and darker jungles look nice (despite being a little rough).
Dox take three shots to kill.

Apart from that, basically everything is vastly improved...

Ok so the list of cool things got longer as I watched >.<. Yes the palette isn't great in Alpha, and it's Alpha.
But there are certainly things which I like there.
I worry some things have been left by the wayside.

Yeah they were pretty powerful and I still think they should be maybe a quarter of a come health if they are com boxing or at least enough to destroy a t1 factory or power plant

I think the amount of small rocks and more dense forrests are what makes it look better ;) Alias the small rocks look more rockey and forrests more forresty. So maybe make the trees denser sometimes and add some small effects to flat ground.
Better weapon effects are also welcome, now you can sometimes barely see the bullets ;)

I like to think they are not left by the wayside, but are instead moved to the back burner while they iron out these lag issues with the sim dropping down to 1 fps among others issues. Once they have the game solid.. then I would think they will go back to the cosmetic issues. IMHO

Me too! I know Uber have to prioritise :) I still have faith. I just think sometimes we need to remind them what we enjoy, because they have a lot of balls in the air and are working hard.

Why it happens, I have no clue, but it certainly does happen, though not too often. However, if you triple the amount of objects that block pathing, and don't improve pathing, you have three times the occurrences of issues, and at that point it'll be VERY obvious.
