Thx for head up. Feels odd though, download started at 2MB/s for the first 500MB or so (my line would have topped out at ~5MB/s, so that's already subpar), and then it dropped to ~100kB/s and less. For some weird reason, the launcher has one thread with 100% activity - during download. Decompression and applying the patch is fast again, as expected on an quadcore + SSD system.
I think it's a memory issues. On my specs it sometimes takes 5-10 minutes to load up the UI, if the the number of planets is too big. For example Radius 1000 Gas giant, 2 radius 400 moons and a radius 500 Metal planets, UI load up time: I can start playing at about 3 minutes after antospawn so approximately 5 minutes.

Translation: PA Launcher crashes after downloading first 500MB. Download rate is displayed as "600MB/s" briefly and then the launcher crashes. When downloading current PTE.
Uber launcher has crashed on me about 5 times trying to download the 71642. It never crashes for me, usually.
Was not expectingso many balance changes this close to "release". I am happy. Only thing with this set I'm not too keen on is the snipers vision radius being increased so much - I would rather they needed skitters escorting them or units in front of them having a battle. If balance-changing people are looking at this, please look into buffing Spinners / nerfing T1 fighters / buffing T1 bombers HP. The T1 bombers " accuracy upgrade" has made Spinners a bit ****. The fighters high HP compared to the bomber makes the fighters meat-shields that you have to use even when your enemy has no fighters of their own, which is weird. Also I miss Stingers. EDIT: Also the Jig HP.. ouch. That might be a slightly too extreme change. Be gentle!
I also really like these changes, 1 thing that i dont like is that the JIG doesn't give OVER 9000!!! energy.
The issue is still, from what I've seen, that missile projectiles have trouble hitting moving targets. Which for a homing weapon, is a pretty big deal.
The reason you're seeing so many balance changes at this late stage, btw, is that a load of the Uber guys have basically been playing the game for four solid days over the course of the weekend just gone. I have notes on my phone with stuff we discussed on Monday evening to change to balance

Repeatable. Same problem as this post. Downloads slightly over 600MB (10 of 15 packages downloaded, the 11th being several 100 MB), then jumps backwards to 516MB downloaded, with a download rate displayed as 650MB/s, and crashes.
I just had the same problem - I found that by running the UberLauncher as administrator that it resolved the problem for me.
Still crashed Now clearing the contents of the Cache folder, removing the PTE folder entirely and downloading the whole thing again.
Problem might be specific to your setup. Downloaded at high speed for me without any issues and is now decompressing.
