Since the new Update is only available on the PTE, I thought I could uninstall the steam version and use the official PA Launcher. The only problem is that the Launcher keeps crashing everytime I am starting it. I have no idea what causes it, so I hope I can get it running with the help of the support forum. Here is my Dxdiag
Actually: You don't need to uninstall Steam version and you can have both versions installed in same time. Current PTE build does available though Steam already, you can choose PTE stream via "Properties".
Hello, If the launcher crashes every time you start it, it means that you are missing one or more of the following needed to use the launcher: DirectX June 2010, Visual C++ 2012, and .NET Framework 4.5. Oh really? Then I am going to stick with the Steam version, since it is working fine all the time. Thx for the help, i didn´t knew that. edit: But I will try out the things kjotak suggested too.
