Now that we have almost all the planet types, the random system generation needs tweaking.

    When I start a large game with AI, when I hit the "new system" button, I expect a system that has a bunch of different planet types, with a few capable of smashing thrown in.
    But 99% of the time, this is what the game gives me.

    There should be some sort of bias or something. Something that makes larger (6+ planet) random systems have at least four different planet types.

    Yeah in PTE it's still only rarely add metal planet... :(

    If you look for "star_system_templates.js" in your ui directory you can mod the random system blueprints there and it will propagate to the server and galactic war. Until we get a new set of random systems out you may want to use this.

    Is there a plan to add some kind of sliders or adjustments in the lobby so we can easily adjust what sort of random planets we'll get without having to go in and make our own custom systems each time?

    Not currently, but someone could mod those in I'm sure.
