What do you think [REDACTED] means? :D

This thread has been going on long enough that I suppose I should toss my comment is.

I haven't picked up on any hints, so I can't really make any educated guess.

However, I really hope it's astroid belts.

Ladder was confirmed elsewhere. So it'd be weird for them to confirm it and then redact it.

So I'm leaning towards Astroid Belts.

Astroid Belts and Gas giants would make for some VEEEERRRRRYYYY powerful PR tools. Lots of hype.

This is what I've been thinking since you mentioned it in another thread. It would make the most sense and would have one of the largest and coolest impacts (punny, aren't I?) on the game. Also, might help with the orbital game being Uber stale.

And I think you're right about the PR, this'll get people excited. I sure hope it works out as well as (or better than!) planned!

I honestly don't think it'll really improve the orbital game that much. It'll make the general planetary interaction gameplay better (more smashable objects, more fun!) but the orbital game will probably be a bit lackluster.

Same for gas giants, too. I mean... you have resource generators and an all-orbital planet! Yay!!!...?
This just means that there'll be more to fortify, the combat of orbital won't be made more fun by the inclusion of gas giants (and orbital combat is pretty slow and boring, imo)

Who knows though? Maybe I'm just being overly negative.

I think part of the problem with orbital is that the UI sucks bad. You end up accidentally selecting half your army when you try to select two to three orbital fighters. Orbital units are also not as varied as regular units.
