As someone who's quite familiar with depression amongst some of my loved ones, I can tell you, someone making jokes and looking all happy doesn't mean ****. They might look like they're enjoying themselves when hanging out or something, but that's just a front. One of the most horrible symptoms of clinical depression is the inability to truly feel joy. This ties in with "why would someone commit suicide when he has everything?" If you can't really feel joy, then all that doesn't matter does it?
Why do those people think they have the right to enforce behaviour that will make you go to a place that does not exist? If I want to go to hell (which also does not exist), that's my choice.
