Glad with the new patch that you could finally launch the game from steam (you couldn't before because of a bug), I proceeded rapidly to start playing again. Everything was going great until I loaded the map (playing in the campaign). Normal stuff. The launch screen freezes. The game freezes. Not only that. THE ENTIRE COMPUTER FREEZES. Indefinitely. I have had literally to restart the computer pressing the start button 5 secs because the game had managed, all 4 times I have tried, to make it stop working. WTF! With no program this happens. At much it freezes and you can force quit. Not even this happened. The fourth time I opened the 'Activity monitor' (it's called in Spanish). It showed me that the game only was consuming the entire time a rough 3% of all the CPU. The problem comes from the game. I know perfectly the game is in development (in Gamma now!), but one thing is something like a glitch in the map and an entirely different and unacceptable thing is ******* your computer completely!!
Having technical issues sucks. We know. However, you're not helping - neither yourself nor Uber - by just venting on the Support boards. Please post more details. You've already described the error in detail - but there's certainly more. Your OS. Your system specs. I'm not sure if there's an OSX equivalent of the DxDiag analysis for Windows, but if there is, please post it as well. Always remember: You bought an early access game. Repeat: You. Bought. An. Early. Access. Game. Contents are subject to change, so is stability, so are system requirements, so is basically everything. You now have the chance to improve the experience not only for yourself but for other users as well by helping Uber fixing this particular problem. The more information your share, the better.
Thanks for the response. I said that because, you know, bugs are common, but one would think that the game has been tested for an update to prove it actually, like, works. That you can at least enter the game, that you go on the menu, and then on a map, and works. This did not only do that, but also froze the rest of the computer in a way I never see. I don't know if my computer specs are very important in that aspect, apart from the 10.8.5 I could have done earlier. Normally when you force quit a program you can see an error report. But if as I said the program freezes all the computer and I'm forced to restart it I am not able to gather such information. Well, it *could* become sentient on your mac and procede to conquer cyberspace, swiftly followed by the invention of the nanolathe and subsequent eternal machine domination of the known universe. Your mac would then be known as the epicenter of humanity's unending slavery to the machine overlords, and you it's herald, responsible for destroying the concept of free will itself.
