Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Faith in whichever Devs are actually involved in the decision-making process at Uber is at an all-time low for me.

    Test completed.

    Results:
    • Only works reasonable on jungle planets
    • Each tree yields 10 metal
    • Each combat fabber yields about 8-15 metal/second
    • Every combat fabber consumes about 1.3 trees per second
    • Combat fabbers are getting stuck frequently
    • Causes server lag whenever a fabbers gets stuck
    • You have to work at least 2 forrests at the same time, otherwise your eco crashes when switching the forrest
    • Building T2 mexes is still more viable
    • Combat fabbers are rather expensive - and even more fragile than mexes
    • Trees last for about 30 minutes on a radius 1000, no water jungle planet
    • Build order is still factory first
    • Metal storages are required, 2 or more recommended. Metal income is fluctuating

Take it. I'll take the harshness of truth over the bitterness of disappointment any day.

Yea, but you're the guy who claims that SupCom2 a decent game...

I'm not sure you can feel anything anymore.
I don't think I can trust your judgment.

I use it as a sort of latch ditch effort at times, where I just really need to get some metal, it also has the bonus of clearing off all the trees.

Nah, SupCom 2 wasn't a very fun game in-and-of itself. The title just added insult to injury.

    Same with Godzilla 98.
Bad film made worse by reaching thematically for something completely out of its ability to grasp.

I'm really hoping for a return of wrecks, but Its not a AAA feature at this point, and the list of stuff to be done is still really long. Uber needs to get into a place where they can attract a steady amount of new purchases on a month-to-month basis to keep the dev team employed, and I think the money crunch is becoming more of a reality at this point. To really get the Esports revenue stream going, they need a 1.0 release with a concrete balance and metagame, and I think that they are concentrating more on getting all the units working with each other. Naval/Air/Sea/Orbital cross balancing seems to be the focus, and wrecks were also interfering with Naval in a big way. It will also be a lot easier to fold in wreckage gameplay to a set of balanced units than to get wrecks exactly right and try and balance units around that.

I'm guessing the strategy on their end is: Get all the units present and balanced & get pathing working-> Improve Environments (Gas Giants, Asteroid Belts, Better scaling) -> Additional Gameplay features. With Wrecks falling under the third heading.

In short, they are focusing on the "Core Game" and getting that together. Extremely pragmatic, and probably necessary, even if it upsets us.

actualy thematicaly it did fit .. as humanity brought the threat upon themselfes with being irresponsible .. but it simply wasnt the ruthless unstoppable force people wanted it to be like in the original ...
and with supcom 2 it simply was a decrease or shift in scale

Come on guys, back on topic please. This isn't the topic to rant on wreckages or SupCom2.
