    Couldn't a modder just bring us the unit cannon? It doesn't seem that complicated to me, although uber stated otherwise.

    You'd just have to turn units entering the unit cannon into orbital units, send them to the other planet, and turn them into the original units again after landing.

    Is that really so difficult? I mean, I'm not a programmer, so I'm just speculating here.

    Lesson I've learned from this sort of speculation in the past: if it seems simple but no-one's done it yet, it's not that simple.

    From what I can tell it used to be possible but then Uber made it impossible when they fixed a bug by stopping the conditions that caused the bug from being possible.

    Yes. In terms of server mods, we can only do stuff that Uber have previously done. Even if it was as simple as spawn a unit at the location of a missile explosion, that still won't work. The closest thing we can do is spawn a unit at the mouse cursor. We just have to let Uber do it's thing.

    if it weren't dont you think the unitcannon wouldn't be already in?
    im sry but you realy seem to be overestimating modders capabilities and underestimating those of the devs ... after all it's them who provide the tools for modding ...

    If you are going to take someone to task for not searching before posting. At least provide a link to the prior article. Knowing what to search before posting is ambiguous, at best, most of the time.

    Could always turn the unit cannon into a factory, and have it create units as a weapon upon impact.
