Delta VS Invictus Commander

Upon seeing the "new" commander Imperial Invictus I was excited to see something new, instead its just another Delta commander which I was lead to believe was only going to be available to backers. Is this just a skin glitch/placeholder until the actual skin comes out? or do we have 2 different commanders that look alike? I mean whats going on here, anyone know? I just want to feel better about dishing out $250 cause that is by no means a small amount of money, especially these days.

The delta got a new model, the Invictus kept the old one, as it was used in the games promotional material.

Only us backers get the new delta.

Ah I see, still the change should have been a bit more obvious instead of just the shoulders opening up. Hopefully they'll do some more work to differentiate the two.

You aren't alone in that feeling but we really haven't heard anything back specifically on that topic yet to my knowledge.

They should make a "retro" commander, like the exact commander from TA including mimic'd resolution and model.

But honestly, the shoulders are as obvious as heck, they are very bright and much larger appearing. I think if anyone played against a delta commander, they would notice it is a delta commander, and not confuse it with anything else.

It's the exact Details that will make or break this statement thought.

chances are they wont make an exact replica because they'd have to get the rights for that. Cave Dog has been dead for some time now. I'm not even sure who they would ask for the rights to that commander model. Perhaps ol' Chris Taylor. Actually no, Atari oddly enough owns the rights to TA.

Wargaming.net owns them now, and they also own GPG.

Yeah, Uber were outbid by Wargaming.net for the TA rights.

And yet here we are......

Wait if uber does not own the rights then does that mean that it will effect the production or the buyers?

Did the new backers replacement commander ever get released? I've been gone a long while and am just checking in.

We've heard nothing about it since Brad initially mentioned it. Similarly we don't know anything about the Commander for the Winter Sale yet either.
