As well presented as the Assault tutorial was at introducing all the requisite aspects of MNC, it was a poor preparation for any other class. Some class specific abilities I only know about because I read the online wiki: 1) Tank and Gunner jump jets that can be used to 'fly' if space is held and to burn enemies in melee behind you if deployed. 2) Assassin Shurikens automatically crit after dropping cloak. 3) Support hack skill deploys faster at higher levels 4) Sniper Grapple Skill and SMG Grapple are on different cooldowns. There is also limited assistance available for picking Endorsements. I'd love to have Micky Cantor talk about how important it is to have the proper company backing you since you are quite literally signing over your life, and organs!, to their marketing department when you make your selections. Great game. I've got hours and hours of enjoyment out of it and am looking forward to maxing out my level at some point. I just wish there was some slightly better, but still flavorful, documentation somewhere besides the MNC wikia wiki. Thank you for reviewing and considering my suggestion to add Class specific tutorials and some in game assistance on custom classes.
Minor correction/discrepancy: Assassins only crit after cloak at Lv 3 Cloak, and only for one second.
This is why players should play Blitz with all Pros. Am I the only one who had common sense and played each class multiple times during Blitz games just to get a handle of each class and their skills?
Nope that was the first thing I did was complete the 10round blitz mode with each class as sort of a "tutorial" it doesn't give you a lot of info but it helps with some of the basic premises of each class and to get a generic feel for how they control.
------------- I suggest, however, a sort of regimen on the specific job/s of each class. Assassins fishing PKs from groups and other assorted stupid things could possibly be fixed with a simple tutorial.
They almost don't require it. They could just add extra entries into the playbook. I don't know why so many people have a phobia about reading in games. "Ooh ****! Background information inside the game? Well, better completely avoid that as to not ruin my experiences..." There are some advanced tactics for each class, yes. But what game really lists them all right off the bat? It's like giving a kid a gun before you give him a water pistol. You have to learn the basics before you get into the advanced tactics. Every game has a bit of research to do. There are even advanced tactics that the developers probably didn't think of. Maybe someday they'll update the playbook. But to give you an hour of in game tutorials would cost way too much man power and way too much time. Especially, when you could just READ and practice them in blitz games.
