The Apollo is basically a weapon that can only be built in orbit around the sun. It is immobile, and takes a long time to charge up. Once fully charged, it is capable of blasting a high-energy laser in a straight line that can severely scar the surface of a planet. Of course, the Apollo makes up for this by being costly, somewhat fragile (same HP as an orbital factory), and having a low aiming cone. If you give an attack order, a progress bar showing how long until the planet enters a proper position to fire will appear to let you know how big a delay you'll have to wait.
I think that the metal planets are likely to be a weapon like this. And if not, then I'm not totally sure what kind of weapon they'd be instead. However, if the Apollo were built into orbit around the sun, then it would only be vulnerable to attack if it were possible that other units could orbit it. And then only the SSX (SXX?) could attack it if landing wasn't possible. Actually, even if landing were possible I don't know if anything else could target it. All in all, awesome idea, but I don't think it will happen in this particular form
i dont think these would be very balanced. when they are being built a couple hounded avengers could destroy it very easily.
I think it would be super cool, but what about dark matter machin or hydrogen machin or something. Something that sucks matter or something.then it fires a tiny cute little bullet but a big big bang kinda like the planetsmash but this one destroeys the whole planet. The sun is kinda boring imo. Well not in real life ofc but in a game....god partical machine, factory whatever. That would be cool, still loveing the harnest of the sun idea tho.
Yeah, if this suggestion came to light, avengers would need to be able to enter the sun's orbit. And yes, a couple hundred avengers COULD easily take it out. The point is if someone is able to make a strong orbital stronghold on the sun, they deserve to be able to end stalemates by literally smiting the opposition.
