Haven't played for a couple of builds but when I opened PA today, the whole screen is flickering, as though the refresh rate is out of sync with my screen. Not just in a match but from launch. I haven't played for a while because the last time I tried playing all the planets had no textures anymore, this seems to be fine again now, but the flickering makes it remain unplayable for me for the meantime. I have an nVidia GTX 660 with driver 337.88 installed. I searched prior to posting but only found references to the sun flickering.. wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.
I see you have Intel graphics enabled in your PC: Code: Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 Device ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0412&SUBSYS_D0001458&REV_06\3&11583659&0&10 Driver: C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\igdkmd64.sys, 10.18.0010.3379 (English), 12/21/2013 10:02:44, 4216320 bytes Try to disable it in BIOS or update it's drivers. To update drivers download and install "Win64_153322.exe" from Intel website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23885 If you get "not validated for this computer" error download ZIP version of driver ("Win64_153322.zip") from same page and then install it using this instruction: http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558749190911446231/ PS: It's needed to be sure your problem isn't caused by integrated video card drivers.
Thanks, unfortunately it is still happening (updated DxDiag attached. It may also be worth mentioning that my computer's display is a HDTV, but I've been playing since alpha without any display issues like this in prior builds.
Oh, picture in picture. No, like I said this happens from the launch menu, not just in-game. I tested a single player spawn to check the planet texture thing I mentioned in OP, but it's unplayable beyond that, it hurts the eyes. I was using PIP in past builds without problems.
Here's a wrinkle - if I switch it from Fullscreen to Windowed the flickering stops. So.. I'm not inclined to accept that setup compromises are solutions, hopefully a dev can check this out, but I can play it windowed for now I guess. *shrug*
