Traveling to different planets 1 unit at a time is kinda a pain, so i wondering how much easier it would be to invade other planets especially if there well guarded using a cargo/war ship. This war ship could be built by a advanced space fabricator bot, and there could be a small ship that could hold like 20 units, a medium that can hold 50 and a large that can hold 100 units. So with these you can just load units into one and make one trip to another planet instead of countlessly trying to send one unit at a time only to be shot down right away. And these cargo ships don't just have to be for space, they could work on water and land too. This was just an idea and i thought it would help the game alot and would make it easier to transport units instead of using one space transporter at a time to move fabrication bots. It also might make the game more interesting especially if your planet is well guarded and you have to watch out for these.

You can use area commands to pick up and put down multiple units with lots of astraeus at once, but it's still a bit awkward.

Pump out hundred astraeus, select all, mark a circle with load command, shift click move -> unload at destination. That's how you invade with astraeus.

BTW, will it work if I only click unload on destination planet?

As has been stated, use area commands. Pretty much every command can be issued in the form of an area command by clicking and dragging.

It makes no sense from an efficiency perspective to have each unit need it's own transport. Having group transports makes a lot of sense to keep management easy. Using area commands is always vulnerable to selecting what you don't want to select, or selecting too little. It's also harder to keep track of dozens of units, when a cargo ship would be easy to keep track of as it's a single unit.

It's painfully obvious the Astraeus wasn't designed to be used en masse.

cant even queue up the orders, since its bugged last i checked, you cant do Load, then unload, you gotta wait until all the stupid astraus get their units, then click another planet....then Unload on that planet....1. 2. 3. steps...very annoying

Multiunit transports will be a thing
Hopefully ferryfunction and transportassist of factories as well ..
Uber stated though that this is a very time consuming thing to do
And they have no interest in clowncartransports

I just want a better UI for transports, so that using the transport racket doesn't feel like a god damn pain in my arse.

I concur. There needs to be a multi-transport unit that is durable, can carry an entire army, and can also defend itself from other units.

Could this be a solution to cracking a moon turtle?

Sounds too much like an experimental ...
I rather like to have transports
Carrying max 10 units and have at best just a bit of airdefence
You should have to use avangers as escort for save tranfers

The goal should be to always use mixed armies for the best result and survival rate when encountering the enemy.

I still think that M.A.X. was a brilliant example of how mixed armies can complement and enhance each others.

A transport should be just a transport.
