Lumpiness is good in moderation, basically how it works in the game now is good. (Not counting the extreme examples in this thread.) Just enough to give a more "natural" look to the planets, ie breaking the perfect sphere.

Making units smaller relative to planet size is a pretty big change, it changes the entire pacing of the game due to bigger distances. Anyway the whole scale discussion is pretty irrelevant to having cliffs etc, so Id rather leave that discussion to the scale megathread.

Basically the lump is about right compared to the unit. But in reality, a spinning planet would have removed the lump. So the lump looks bizarre compared to the planet.

The hill lumps are often larger than the mountains and next to impossible to distinguish from the viewpoint of the camera.

They are nice... I just think they should be smaller compared to the planet, but also more obvious.

Not having played any new version recently and still very much interested in how terrain and different vehicle types interact with it. After watching some videos about recent builds this particular issue doesn't seem to be addressed.
Anyone care to elaborate on this one?
