Here's the dxdiag. There is also intense lag of up to ten minutes at times. Probably because of my processor? Do you know what I should do? Regards, Scottish
Hey, welcome to the forums! - Try to update your graphics card driver. It's only 3 months old, but who knows, worth a try. - The developers are constantly working on performance, so it'll get better every patch. If you have fps lag, then try these steps: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/how-to-improve-performance-all-video-cards-driver-links.53165/ - If you have network lag, try not to use your bandwith for anything else but the game. Make sure that you have the closest server chosen for you in the settings. If none of the above works and the game is still too laggy, report your issue here, and follow the stated steps: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/...e-the-game-is-running-slow.60973/#post-950047
"I soldered the transistors myself!" I think home-assembled would be a better way of saying that. #pedantic.
Scottish, when you perceive said lag, could you check "disk activity"? Most systems still have a light blinking to indicatie disk activity. Your lag could be caused by your machine "swapping" memory to disk. You only have 4GB of RAM and in my humble opinion, thats just about enough to support the OS and a webbrowser. PA may use over 2GB of RAM on its own. If this appears to be the case, close as many programs as you can, especially webbrowsers. Also upgrading your system to 8GB of RAM should be a relative low cost upgrade and you should benefit from it in day to day use.
Hey guys! Thank you for replying! @Archie That is the most recent driver update I believe, it was my first steps trying to get the game to run (initially it would crash when I tried to join a lobby). The computer is custom built, I'm not using mods with the game. Here are some specs: CPU: Intel Core i3-3220 3.3GHz Dual-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard Memory: Pareema 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter Case: Corsair 500R Black ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair CX 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer
YES! My disk usage skyrockets to near 100%! In the past i've been able to fix it by killing superfecth in the services. I can play games with a few bots on small systems, but anything too large and my computer gets sad.
Be carefull with killing services, but close all programs you don't need when you want to play. Finally, you should really have a look at that RAM upgrade.
I'm looking right now, trying to decide between 4 and 8 gigs. Do you think there would be a significant gameplay difference between the two? it won't let me post links, but I'm looking at the crucial unbuffered sticks on amazon, 4 is $39 and 8 is $75. If you have any suggestions/hints on deals I'd love them. I have amazon prime
Well, for your setup I don't think it matters that much. Not sure if it still applies, but you might not want to mix sticks (eg. put in both 4GB and 8GB sticks). An additional 4GB would already make a huge difference and I don't believe 1x8GB is any better than 2x4GB. When you are at 8GB or even beyond, I think your CPU and clock setting will become the limiting factor for performance.
