I am quick to attack, quick to build and quick to scout. However I feel there is a massive imbalance now you can churn out masses of units and Fabber's at T1 with no resources. I just played a game where the guy had 18 factories constantly producing (pretty quick I might add) with loads of Fabbers and only 10 T1 energy plants. It feels a little too easy to spam build again now what do people think?
I'd agree, except the serious problem is more the imbalance in T1 ground units and the overpowered nature of T2. What you describe is more of a symptom than the actual problem.
DON`T WORRY FRIEND BALANCE IS COMING BUT THE GAME IS ALL ABOUT SPAMMING AND SPREADING YOUR DOMINANCE THROUGHOUT THE LANDS AS A ROBOTIC HARBINGER OF DEATH AND ANNIHILATION!
Yeah I don't mind playing fast paced and building quick. I would just like to see more tactics brought into it by actually having to think about your resorces rather than essentially what feels like button bashing. It did feel balanced before and seems to have slipped again. Cheers for responses.
It will get tweaked again I'm sure. Energy was a big limitation before... It probably needs to wind up between the two.
PA might have all the depth of a pond right now relative to most other good strategy games, but it's hardly button smashing. You can't spam 18 factories on 'no resources'... What is this. It's also useless to talk simply about how the balance feels. Without any reasoning or thinking about why certain mechanics are balanced or not, that 'feeling' just comes down to the skill of the opponents you played against, whether you played against outliers, and whether you experienced a ~50% win rate over all your games. This talk of balance and unit spam in the same sentence really shows the bankruptcy most people have now adays in just throwing around the term 'balance'. It shows why PA really needs a proper ingame ladder system with stable map rotation that matches players of equal skill, because there will always be those who can't differentiate between balance, player choice, and player ability level. It's quite obvious that what you're really trying to say is "there is no skill in this game" to cheapen the victories of your opponents, not "the game is imbalanced".
