I saw the unit cannon in game !

I was learning the game to a friend when suddenly, the AI built the famous unit cannon. ( Which is not visible in the unit database. )

My friend is a newbie, so he destroyed it. ( I was not watching what he was doing ) But I don't know why, I can't build it. Is this normal ?

It's been there for 4 or so updates, people have found it already
It's pretty much an easter egg.

Can the Avatar build it?

According to PA-DB, yes.

Don't remember seeing it. Quick. Someone go check. It's 2:45 am and I'm not getting up for at least another 11.5 hours.

No, avatar can not build it. It can't even build the Avatar factory.

How do I even get the avatar?
I have the cheat mod installed and the create avatar hotkey'd, but it won't spawn in no matter how much I press it.
Oh, wait I dun figured it out.

Yup; that unit cannon wreckage is a brush, it's part of the map. Not actual wreckage from a unit. It's just an easter egg the devs added in. There is no way to build a unit cannon in-game right now.
