    Here it is.

Somehow I got it out on the first print (mind you the Salem class took like 6 attempts)

It's a bit rough and most likely needs to be printed much bigger with even finer detail (0.1 mm layer height)

About a fourth of the support material failed, was trying something new and it didn't work out.

    Possible, but not easy.

Even with dis-solvable support material some parts are still ridiculously too thin to ever survive on their own.

    Anyway, Leviathan is next.

Looks wicked all the same :)

But I wonder...How can you ship something like that without it being toasted?

Prepping the Leviathan, first print failed, so it's back to the drawing table.

can somebody tell me real quick how to make stl files from PA models?
    Which software do I need?
I have an 3d Printer and I think a 200mm Commander would find a nice place on my desk :)

Blender I believe will do the job (as a plus its free :)). Please note I haven't tried this myself with PA files.

Reaven, made a extractor add on for blender. It will extract .papa files from the game and import them into blender. You can then export them into the file type you want into your main program you use.

This already exists! I think it was part of the original inspiration for PA

Where did you get these designs? They look spot on. I'd love to make some myself but I wouldn't know where to start. I primarily work in sketchup and export .stl's for printing. How did you import the designs from PA? I'd love to give it a spin myself.

I take the .papa's and import them into blender, then to .3DS and into 3DS max, then to .stl and into Magics to fix them

It'd be really neat to have the Nuke Launcher and Nuke printed separately, but have the nuke be able to fit in the launcher.

At times like this I wish I had access to a 3D printer... I'd print some power generators for those troubled times during a blackout.

Thanks for making this thread. I have a Form1 and wanted to print out some of the commanders to have them on my desk at work so I will use some of the advice here. If someone has the .stl files already done, could you share them? It would save me a whole lot of work.

Why not 3D print a whole moon with mexes and a few halleys on it?

You would have to make your own moon model because they are generated on the fly.

But your could get the Hallies.
