If the UC was bots only then the result wouldn't be bots being useful, but rather the UC being useless.

Either you're the only one who knows the final unit cannon specs (and bots specs), or you simply think the Uber devs are incapable of balancing their game. Good for you.

No that's not entirely true, if dox are kept how they are (which is intended to be a weak raiding unit) the unit cannon most likely won't be very powerful. (Implying it only fires the dox (

I fell that would just lead to what I call "False Diversity", as a pitch it sounds nice but in practice it's very underwhelming. I mean really what ends up happening is you're limiting the utility of the unit cannon just so that bots as a whole can be even more pigeon-holed into being "better" at being raiders......in specific situations that also involve the unit cannon.

Diversity in this case isn't about making bots good at one role/task, but about ensuring they can carry out multiple roles and it's okay if some of the roles they do are similar to those that other unit types so long they they go about it differently with bonus points if the mechanics are different AND complimentary.

It's fine if bots and tanks both have AA if the tank AA is long range, powerful but with a low rate of fire while the bot is shorter ranged, low damage with a high rate of fire. Neither is strictly better than the other overall and while both are capable on their own they excel when mixed because they compliment each other.

Yeah I made an effort to use them in my last match with area attack and area patrol. They're terrible for just attacking a base but, as you say, great for harassment. I also find that when sending in my tanks to attack a base the tanks can kill enemy units, towers and artillery and then the bomb bots can follow up to destroy the buildings as they now have way more HP than before.
