Hey man, the build queue count still doesn't display a "1" when building one (the first) unit. Can I get an explanation as to why this is apparently better than having the queue count simply display how many units are in production right off the bat, so that people see it plainly instead of having to always count for that extra one?

As it stands it's somewhat like C&C games, but even those displayed the build process in the menu, which was more visible than actually looking at the factory whether it is actually producing anything. And even so, C&C's scale was much smaller.

Or will this be changed... eventually?

Thanks for any official replies in advance. :*

Edit: I feel that I should clarify a bit, for the sake of redundancy. I think a good UI is easy to use and transparent (ie. it displays as much information as cleanly and as condensed as possible). In games like Supreme Commander -- yeah, I know, I'll stop bringing it up eventually... possibly... not! -- or Total War, each individual unit in the queue is represented by an icon. This is transparrent. The player sees right away how many of each unit they can expect to come out of a production facility. I feel like the only indication being the factory animation just isn't enough and it is in fact much simpler to just display each individual unit by a number in the queue, as opposed to an icon.

The game doesn't count units that are currently being made by the factory.

Even when I misread the thread I'm useful. I'm that awesome.
