First of all, hats off for developing such a fun and entertaining game. This arcade game offers a lot more fun and entertainment than many full fledged and priced games have.

Minor bugs and issues aside, which are natural for a newly released game and are already being addressed, we would greatly appreciate more information about the endorsements. Right now, it is extremely vague as to what each one does, and how, numerically, it accomplishes what it says. Whether leaving us in the dark about this was by design or an accident, I don't know, but frankly, I think we should get at least a little more info.

As it stands, all we know is there are 3 levels, and each one affects you somehow, with the higher levels giving a larger effect. But the only "description" if you can call it that, of the endorsement is just a very short word or phrase that can be open to interpretation. Like Juice, Critical Hit, etc.

I'm fairly confident in saying I'm not the only one who feels like we're missing critical information here. I'll just list some example questions that go through my head...

    1. What is critical hit? Does it increase damage when you get a critical? If so, by how much, for bronze, silver, and gold? Or does it increase the chances of getting a critical hit? For that matter, what is considered a critical hit? Is it just a random chance? Or only headshots?

    2. What does "Juice" mean as an endorsement? Do you collect juice faster? Or does it last longer when you're using it?

    3. For basically every endorsement - do they increase XX by a certain static amount, or a percentage? How much do they increase it by? Is reload speed increased by 20%, 30%, and 40% at the 3 levels? Or does it just cut off .2 seconds per level or something? Or, are the differences in the levels quite large, and it's more like an increase of 25%, 50%, and 75%?

    4. Are these increases fairly uniform for each endorsement? Does bronze reload speed, clip size, and armor increase all of them by say 25% or whatever mysterious number? Or is each endorsement on it's own scale?

    5. Speaking of armor, is it really armor in the sense that it reduces incoming damage by a percent? Or does it essentially just boost your max HP?

Sorry for the long post. I realize I'm a pretty detail-oriented person that likes to number crunch and this is probably information overload for most. But the overall vagueness of everything makes me quite anxious and uneasy when trying to figure out what to use. I love crunching numbers and being able to quantitatively determine which build would suit me best, not just trial and error guess without having any real idea.

For a competitive style game, I think these kinds of details are important. Thanks for reading.

I agree I was hoping for more detailed information on the endorsements myself.

    1) I don't know, sorry.

    2) You respawn with juice.

3 and 4) I THINK the stat is increased by some percent and the percents are pretty uniform across all the endorsement categories.

    5) Is there a difference in the end result?

Not largely, but yes, there is.

Say armor at the bronze level either increase damage resistance by 20%, or max hp by 20%. Assuming you have 100 hp for simplicity's sake, and assuming you're being shot by bullets that do 10 damage each:

Damage Res: 10 dmg reduced to 8 dmg. So it takes 12.5 shots to kill you. (100/8)

Max HP: 120 HP, means it takes 12 shots to kill you. (120/10)

    12.5 > 12

May not seem like a lot, but more survivability is more survivability. And depending on how fast bullets are being fired and how often they need to reload, having to take more bullets to die could easily mean being able to either escape successfully or stick around and have the extra time needed to mow someone down.

But, I realize your point in the sense that if you're taking armor to increase survivability, it doesn't really matter which it does, because both accomplish that goal. However, whether it affects max HP or damage resistance could influence whether or not it'd be worth taking health recovery. Which in turn would depend on how health recovery works itself. Because with more health, it would take longer to reach full health and receive the full benefit of having a higher max HP. Meaning, if armor increase HP, it might only be worth it if you also take health recovery so you're actually benefiting from it more often.

Sorry for the long explanation once again. I just felt like this was a good opportunity to really show how and why specific details do matter and make a difference.

Critical shot is a chance that a shot will do extra damage. You'll actually see a purple tracer or effect behind a critical shot. The critical shot chance and the multiplier for the damage you do goes up with the higher level endorsements.

ProTip: Critical Shot Multipliers are cumulative. Juice uses a 100% critical shot chance buff. So if you have the Achilles endorsement (Gold Critical Shot) you will do even more damage while juiced!

The Juice endorsements make it so that when you spawn in you start with some of your juice bar filled. If you take the Spunky Cola Endorsement (Gold Juice) you'll start with 40% of your juice bar already filled.

ProTip: Because it's only starting with juice after respawn, it's not as useful in Blitz because you tend to die less.

It varies from endorsement to endorsement for various balance reasons. We don't show the exact numbers because they can change in an update.

ProTip: For the majority of endorsements the difference between Gold and Silver is bigger than the difference from Silver to Bronze. In other words, Gold sponsor is much better than Silver or Bronze.

    It boosts your max HP.

ProTip: Adding the GobiNumb Endorsement (Gold level armor) to an upgraded Tank will allow the Tank to survive a back grapple from the Assassin.

I seem to never be able to one shot a tank with a rear grapple, is it possible that it is a coincidence that they all had this, or can they actually survive with a lesser/no endorsement?

The base Tank class has the GobiNumb endorsement.

You can kill him if you use the Assassin's lunge to hit him first (Right Bumper with dagger/sword) then grapple him.

I'm wondering this as well. I've never one-hit killed a tank with a grapple from behind, even if my sword was out, assuming they had full health. Usually, it looks like they have maybe 30-40% health or so after backstabbing, so I just don't mess with tanks anymore when I'm an assassin unless I see their health's already been depleted some. Unless Gold level armor is the default endorsement for tanks, maybe? I haven't checked yet.

Edit: Nvm. Way late posting this. Question answered. >_>

    Awesome reply, thanks Scathis.

Still wish we had exact numbers on how each endorsement affects the given attribute at each level, but I suppose I'll live for now  Just knowing what critical hit and juice do at least give me some relief.

The armor endorsement is really handy. I have it in the bronze slot in my custom support class and I am able to survive the assassins backstab a majority of the time. I have just a sliver of health when I do, but hey I survive lol.

Yeah, that's the only way to truly, effectively defeat that backstab with a slow moving class. Also, the Support class shotty is dirty when the Assassin class wants to get too close.

    You too close 'mon!!!

Ahhh ok, I for some reason I keep thinking the base don't have endorsements >_<

    Much appreciated, Scathis.

    Two other important questions:

Does Rate of Fire or Critical Shot affect the Heal/Hurt Gun?

Does Health Recovery refill a percentage of your total health or does it regenerate a fixed value per interval?

Specifically, what percentile of health/reload speed/or rate of fire ect is for each rank.

For skill recharge, any information if it's class based or a hard number?
For example, it seems like support Y skill has a pretty long recharge - while assault X has a short one. Putting a gold on each, is it safe to say Support is getting more bang for their buck? While assault probably should not "waste" a gold +recharge skill?
Or, just the hard numbers... which I know you guys have already said is confusing and I understand not getting them

I'm kind of glad the devs said no to posting the exact percentages, because:

    1) That would lead to number crunchers posting the optimal builds and all the power gamers wouldn't deviate from those builds. Leaving everyone else to adhere or fail. Taking what little customization is available out of the game.

    2) As a dev said previously in the thread, the percentages are SUBJECT TO CHANGE in future updates for balance reasons, meaning that will just lead to added bitching by said power gamers that they now have to retool their endorsements to remain uber, and in-fighting will start over what the best build is, ect. ect. yawn.

Go play WOW if you want to turn a game into a math equation. When you're ready to come shoot at something, you can come miss me. :ugeek:

In a game like MNC the playing style makes more difference than the actual build. Also, just becaues Player A optimizes a build for their style does not mean that Player B will benefit from it. There is no such thing as a perfect build in this game and anyone who thinks that number crunching will ruin the game is simply wrong. It is good to know how to build a class to suit your need but you cannot do that when information is not properly explained.
