Are you sure you don't have any mods installed? Because that sure looks like graphics corruption we often see with [outdated] mods.
Garat, I believe I tried to do some thing on my mac like mod batch I think it was called. I don't know how to get it off if that's what I need

How do I search for the modded files. I have the folder with the mod in the trash but nothing has happened. I also downloaded the pamm thing. Tried to do the mod but gave up. Maybe this is what happened?
If you deleted the mod, then you know where your mods folder is, yes? What else in that folder? You can look at mods.json to see if anything is on and find a file called ui_mod_list.js (to see if it has any files listed) in folder with PAMM in it's name, but just deleting everything in mods should nicely reset you to no-mods state.
Sorry, didn't make myself clear. I downloaded a mod but didn't know how to install it. I threw it away and got the PAMM thing. I didn't know how to work it so I threw it away. After redownloading the PAMM thing I got the game to work. Then about 30 min later it crashes. DOn't know what to do.
Wondible. Thanks. Found the folder but now it crashes without saying PA has closed unexpectedly. I click on agree and then it kicks me out. Might go poking around for things unusual but in the mean time I will wait for some help first.
Okay, I don't see any additional mods installed, and none are loading. Some people have reported performance issues running with the steam overlay. Have you tried disabling it? You're getting some json load errors that I don't see. Are you sure your download is up to date and verified? I'm seeing a lot of "ERROR Coherent failed to allocate buffer" that would mess up the UI. Have you tried loading small planets and making sure other programs are shut down? No, it shouldn't matter with your RAM, but PA is reporting issues.
Ok, Thanks. I can try loading some small planets, but last night here it started to quit when I click any button like Glactic Wars or Multiplayer.
Another issue was fixed by deleting localstore. You could move it to test, so you could restore your settings and war progress if that didn't help.
When I start it up the mouse doesn't work. I was able to play a game and when I tried to restart it, it shut down.
If you just go ahead and delete all PA files from your PC Mac, then re-download everything, that should clear all the mods.
I have a mac. So just delete the folders and re-download. Where do I re-download it if it is on steam?
cwarner, I have tried to restart my game but don't know what to delete on my mac. I know the localstore folder but what inside it. Also my game can't open after clicking agree and then it dies. Here is the log...
On Steam: Right click on Planetary Annihilation Click 'delete local content' The game will then uninstall. Once it's done, right click on the game and click 'install'.
