I wasn't sure whether to post this in the feedback section or this, because it really includes both. Firstly, in my own level 37 mind, assassins seem completely overpowered when juiced. My reason is that I think it's rather absurd that any single assassin can destroy anywhere from three to five level 3 turrets (rockits & ice), especially if it comes down to the last few turrets protecting the money ball. Yes, I know that other classes have the potential to do this, but not nearly as quickly and not nearly as efficiently as the assassin. If I'm wrong, and that this is completely balanced and okay, then please tell me a strategy to help fight or prevent this please. I mainly play support. Many thanks to anyone.
A random Assassin can't destroy more than 2 (MAX) level 3 Rockets. If you are looking for a strategy to prevent an Assassin from juicing on your turrets, try escorting your bots. Don't let her cut them and she will have a very limited means of getting juice. Most Assassins will stay clear of a Support with his shotgun at the ready. If you still have a hard time, try this or this. The Tank has a medium to high learning curve but can be lots of fun against Assassins who want to slice up your bots and juice on your turrets. The main thing I want to stress here is you are more than likely going to lose if no one on your team is pushing bots and you are turtling. Get out of your base and keep bots past mid-field. Your level 3 Rockets are useless if your bots are knocking on their door. Hope this helps.
When you see an Assassin juice in your base, you have to realize there is a 99% chance they are there for your turrents. So now you make a decision. What's more important, your life or your turrents? The answer should be obvious. So here's a super fun thing to do as a Support. If you're standing in front of a turrent, the juiced Assassin will probably go for you first. So throw an Airstrike right in front of you, then grapple the Assassin. The Airstrike will connect in mid grapple, killing both of you. It's very effective at saving all of your turrents, and you'll respawn pretty much in the same place you died anyway.
Even good assassins will at least have to slow down their juice gain if you drop your firebase someplace to hit the lanes. She'll probably divert her attention to destroying your firebase but that means she's not hitting bots to gain juice, which is good for you. If you have friends or particularly cooperative randoms, you can suggest to them to push the opposite lane, denying the assassin of both lanes. So in my opinion, short of grappling an assassin and slowing down her rampage, you need to use your ability for area denial to stop the juice rush before it even begins.
Tbh most of the time i laugh at juiced assassins, as support, throw airstrikes at your turrets. as assault, throw a bomb at the turret the sin is going to hit/is hitting and use charge. as gunner use slam, as tank use charge, as a sniper throw traps in areas between turrets. Personally i never have trouble with sins as they are relativly fragile and predictable.
Well I guess my main problem is that, when juiced, they are so damn quick. I just tend not to have such good reaction time to try and shotgun them or time the air-strikes right. I lack that "counter-strike twitch", which is why I mostly play support classes in these kind of games (I main engineer in TF2). I'm getting better though. Working more on lane domination and more unconventional turret placement. I'm still unsure when to build turrets or when to just skill-up. From some guides I've read for support, they say the longshot turrets are great to build in further back places for money generation and lane domination, but I never know when to either build those and others or simply level up my skills.
A natural result of going outside in the sunlight/interacting with other humans face-to-face. I still have a huge problem dealing with Juiced assassins as I am usually the only one in the base when they show up and I'm playing support. I've been trying to grapple, but let's be honest, the grapple has awful detection, and usually the assassins are lag stuttering which makes them nigh untouchable. Now tossing airstrikes ON my turrets is actually a pretty good idea that I hadn't considered. I worry that timing might be hard to get, since it only takes about 2 swings for them to down turrets of any level.
nah, the assassin is probably guna kill both the turret and you AND your whole team anyway, so you should DEFINITELY do this. also, getting juice yourself, you can kill a juiced assassin with one blast of shotgun. its really funny when you do that every time she comes. juiced assassin dies to:  any other juiced enemy airstrike placed next to the target she is coming to slash (airstrike next to a rokkit, she goes for the rokkit, she blows up) airstrike placed at the feet of a grappling opponent (you or a teammate she is going for, if you have a good team just throw it and ASSUME your teammate will grapple) grapples that throw at the end, aim her out of the ring. for kicks and giggles, as a sniper, try to headshot her as she is flying miles off the map (she would die anyway, but i call this finishing move the "Clay Pigeon") slam, try to get her out the map, but unloading a minigun while she is stunned is also effective (slamming directly on top of her kills her and even a gold armor juiced tank instantly, called a pancake) tank charge 3, stunned assassin is dead assassin, plus it leads up to an easily aimed railgun grapple (i call this combo the "Senkugoshoha", or the Running Palm) ice traps will stick her for a clean headshot, which will actually kill her  bomb will rarely headcrab her, but if it does it will kill her (anythings possible, ive headcrabbed a cloaked assassin while throwing at a different pro). if it misses, it still can knock her back, so you have time to get to the turret and charge 3 her (this of course is a Shoryuken, or Dragon Punch) the only class that doesnt have a LOT of options against a juiced assassin is another assassin. go figure. at least try to grapple and waste time, and then smokebomb may waste the rest of the time if upgraded nice and well. mind you, you should STILL be pushing bots outside the base. do NOT turtle. someone should be in your base defending and you should try to keep some turrets, but ALL OF YOU shouldnt be in base at once.
and ask for this, its usually best to skill half way, then turret, then more skills. heres what i do: 1)get hack and firebase 2 at beginning of the game 2)place firebase in a relatively safe spot that it can kill bots in, closer torwards your side of the map so it doesnt die easily 3)WALK AWAY FROM IT, go back to base and take care of the current turrents, maybe hack one on the side with most enemies 4)next wave of cash, consider what enemies are there. light armor enemies = longshot. assassins however = shaveice. heavies = rokkits. NOTHING = LAZORS! build the turret at lvl 2. lvl 3 is good if you can. after this, level up your skills and continue pushing up your firebase placement and healing pros in the field. you could stick it out in the base if you have 2+ supports on your team and the other one is outside the base. once you have basic skills (yellow at 3, blue at 3, grey at 2, red at 2), or if you feel it necesary, you can build more turrets or upgrade ones you have. you wana extra boost? most teams are HORRIBLE at gapshots. get $400 and start building. this should destroy their turrets, and damage them at LEAST until the enemy team starts focusing on them. gapshots are overpowered to the pub. during overtime, if you are the only one defending then defend. use anti-juice methods. if more than 1 is defending, YOU RUSH with juice and hhgun the moneyball
Throwing Airstrikes on your turrents requires timing and the ability to predict where the Assassin will go. Typically they'll go for the one they're closest to. In that case, I don't wait for them to start slashing at the turrent. As soon as I see them juice, I'll throw the Airstrike on the turrent closest to them. More often than not, I'll be right, and they'll die before killing my turrent
Firebases tear through juiced players. A gunner's minigun and slam ability also can be a huge help vs. juiced players. You can try to grapple a juiced assassin. If play as tank, I like to lvl 3 charge them to knock them, damage them, and stun them.
