[Idea] Customisable commander and in-game EXP gain

    I am not sure if this is has already been suggested but here it goes:

    I love the game and have been playing it a lot recently. I have played Supreme Commander and when comparing the 2, I feel PA is miss a lot of mechanics and content even though it is a BETA. So here are some ideas to add more meta game and involve the Commander more in battles and add an extra source of revenue to support the developers to continue working on the game!

    Add customisable arms, passive abilities and specialisations to the commander
    +Right and left arm weapon attachments, new weapons are purchasable (SIDE GRADES ONLY)
    +Right and left arm building attachments
    +Specialised Commander, i.e AA, AV, AS, combat support or a builder
    + Passive abilities, the list goes on...
    +In-game exp gain for using the Commander, this allows exp to be spent on increasing those tiers of weapons/ abilities which are pre-set before the match.

    and lastly:
    In-game credits, this is earned during 'official' multi-player match making matches and during the single player mode. These credits can be used to buy weapons and Commanders etc.

    I am afraid this will probably never happen. We can already buy new commanders, but its purely cosmetic.

    To add in such an advanced and complex system to commanders would be far too much hard work.

    I'm not sure so far as customizing the Commanders, partly because they actually are part of the lore and it would be sort of counter intuitive for the devs to make these specific Commanders and have them in the lore, only for the users to be able to change what they are and how they look..

    As for exp gains in-game, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I mean, I love this in games like League of Legends and other fast-paced gameplay where you gotta grind quick for exp to level yourself up, but I'm not sure if or even how it would fit here. There are already so many elements at play in PA, making it a really solid RTS.

    The exp system even if implemented could be flawed I think...for instance, people really like to stockpile Bumblebees and hide them away, to have a super fast Commander rush...or even an air raid. If you got exp from killing units or anything along those lines, it would potentially deter people from wanting to send in a huge wave of units at a whim, because now they are not just worrying about a huge clump of spinners waiting for them at the enemy base...but they are now worried about giving their opponent a super huge exp boost because they would just feed him units. The game is based around the ability to spam out units and have crazy huge battles involving hundreds of units, and I think adding in exp could endanger a cornerstone of PA.

    Don't stop coming up with new ideas and ways you think the game could be better, think more! The devs are really awesome and keep closely in touch with the community, they might even read your post...so I do think they take good ideas into mind.

    Idk, it also sort of defeats simplicity like What You See Is What You Get. If your against another commander that does something you didn't expect and had no reason to expect, it is really hard to play against it strategically.

    However, some sort of metagame would be nice. Ones I support:

    -A few commanders unlockable by completing a GW, an online 6+ person FFA, , an online 2v2, an online 4v4v4...
    -A few titles, badges, icons, whatever, by doing cool things like killing 2 commanders in same game, killing 2 commanders with same explosion, killing a commander with your own commander's explosion, killing a commander with boom bots, beating 9 independent AI by yourself in the same game, building 1000 units for the first time in the same game, building 1,000,000(,000) units lifetime total, having +500 metal income and spending 500 metal in the same setting, ect...

    So basically, cosmetic ones and achievement type ones. Nothing too affectual to the in-game that is disadvantageous or ambiguous. If it were in-game, it would have to be some pre-game set thing that all players can see before readying up, so you know what you are to expect out of it.

    Initially there was talk of things like different abilities and such for Commanders directly from Neutrino but I assume that between the false knee-jerk reactions to it and the overall complexity of it it was canned.

    Maybe I for Galactic War only, but this could be hard to balance for MP
