    • You can ping before the game, but no one can see it. It’s a step forward, we’ll get there.
    • Uber plagued by the blinking icons bug. I hope this means they fix it soon.
    • Uber pauses the game to report a bug.
    • When you lose in the army game mode, you switch to spectator mode. You then have vision on your opponent’s economy.
    • Meta and Brad were bragging at how they were undefeated and the best team in the world. And then they lost in essentially what was a 2v1.
    • Meta made a snarky comment about some unnamed person always making snarky comments about Meta floating his economy.
    • Pathing improvements are coming.
    Uber then took down the stream to release a patch with improved pathing.

    • Meta went into detail about the “revamped” pathing system. The pathing guy has been working on this revamp for quite a while.
    • The old system went by a 2D system, and the new system is more of a 3D system
    The devs then hopped on an internal build, and set up a devs only game.

    • New sounds for the WIP landing effect
    • This is the first try with the new pathing system, so all sorts of craziness could happen.
    • Difficult to comment on the pathing improvements until I get my hands on it. So… gimme! [​IMG]

    New pathing is exciting news indeed! Hopefully it ends up being good.

    Also, I can't wait for this entry animation to be finished! It looks SO cool!

    Classic example there of how having great eco won't win anything if you don't change your strategy in response to what's going on!

    Nope, but Garat said that it'll be pushed to PTE soon.
    And not soon as in when it's done but soon as in like maybe tomorrow.

    If the new pathing system is 3D, does that mean we are likely to see more terrain variance and bits that use the z-axis? If not, what does it mean?

    might start taking the costs of hills now, instead of pathable and unpathable and how wide a pathable area is.

    so, the taller a gentle hill, the more likely units will use it to fan or if too steep then path around it?

    The new strategic icons are looking better. Be interesting to see the rest of them implemented.

    well there's still the problem of stuff hitting other stuff, getting stuck etc that influence such a decision. Still, it should make the terrain less of a slave to pathing(issues)

    Pathing-wise I just want my units to stop getting stuck in ditches in metal planets.

    Was busy a couple of weeks, I think this might be a good place to ask :
    Have they said anything about massive performance tweaks / up to 40-player games or something big like that in the last time?

    Yeah, they haven't said anything. But they are focusing pretty hard on server optimizations. Right now PA servers definitely couldn't handle it, but we're making progress towards that benchmark.

    I don't have enough bandwidth to download more RAM.

    I should try downloading some more CPU though...
