Ok.....I only managed to get the AdminKick command to work once yesterday. Now it just doesn't work. Yes, I have my admin password setup in the hostileaccess.ini file. I've seen a few other people complain about this, but I have yet to see a solution. I reset my password and restarted my server, but it still won't work. Anyone have some insight on this??
Did you use the name or the playernumber when kicking? Myself i found i had trouble kicking as well with the name but with the number from the playerlist i had no problems
I've tried both. Name and number both do not work for me. It seems useless to run your own server when you can't even admin it.
Lol..uhhmmmm...yes!! At least you responded. These forums are a little dry when it comes to Questions/Answers.
We're working on improving administration tools both in-game and from an external interface. Stay tuned!
it sure as hell works for me, but I might know what your problem is, when you connect you write adminlogin your password, but here is the problem, after every single map change you have to write adminlogin and password again, even if you didnt leave the server or anything, doing this works for me and I can kick and ban all I want without any problems doing this. Hope this helps.
Here's the order in which I kick or ban people. If I do not follow this order it doesn't work, and I usually relogin even if the map hasn't changed since last login etc. -playerlist "I'm a hacker ban me!" 428 0:2348064237803469804368903 "Jeeringsole" 429 0:459023859402385904 -adminlogin -passhere- -adminkick 428 "I'm a hacker ban me! has left the arena"
They way we currently have things (which isn't ideal and needs fixing) is that there is a HostileAccess.ini in two locations. One is in Steam\Steamapps\common\MNC\hostilegame\config and the other is in MyDocs\MyGames\UE3\HostileGame\Config Which file are you editing? It should be the one in MyDocs. We know this is confusing and we hope to get it sorted out soon.
I'm renting because I don't have the bandwidth, so I'm not sure. Apparently not the right one though, because it doesn't work. :/
We use the -nohomedir switch which places all of the config files in the games directory. So all of the config files are in \ut3\hostilegame\config\ Eric XFactorServers.com
