Should servers have an option to set level restrictions?

Level restrictions are nonsence, maybe in blitz it could work but not in crossfire. I am almost level 30, but I did not play crossfire (only few matches) only singleplayer and when i was lucky to be able to join than blitz. So what my level says about my crossfire skills .. nothing. There would have to be different levels for crossfire and different got SP+blitz.

Supposing they allowed level restrictions in who can join the server, who would actually pay to run one? I can't see it as a very popular or stable option. If I create a dedicated server there's no way I'd set it up so that I couldn't play on it. So supposing I had a level cap I'd end up changing the cap to match my level every couple of days, That seems like an ultra a-hole thing todo.

Actually I could see level mins working better than level maxs just because the intent is to play against better quality players and there could be some stability here in that a server admin wouldn't have to change settings so he could play on the server. I don't think it makes a lot of sense because lvl doesn't really relate all that well to skill. Still supporting one of these and not the other seems very hypocritical. It seems like it would have to be an all or nothing thing. Personally I'd have no problems if Uber did allow this (i'd most likely avoid those servers), but it seems like their time could be spent much better elsewhere.

Waiting for the TF2 connection to this thread. You know the one, where people argue that having 1000 hours in the game equates to being invite level.

Level restrictions as a server option? Let them fix the other crap before we get too far afield in the Good Idea Fairy department.

I love the idea. I want to play with experienced players who know what they are doing. It will benefit me and the less skilled. Also, it is false to assume that getting destroyed makes you a better player. The only way to improve is to play people on your skill level and learn. Getting killed every 10 seconds will teach you nothing.

Maybe it won't teach you a thing, people differ though.
