Did a quick search, didn't see anything on this - sorry if repost. The first release with GW, the subcoms (and their units) were gray in color, making them easy to distinguish. Since 66770 (I think), they now take the same color as your faction. Lore-wise, it makes more sense, but after getting a few complete galactic wars under my belt, I've decided I liked them being a separate color better - I frequently find myself trying to select my subcoms' units/factories. As a solution for both camps, I'd suggest making the color of your sumcoms selectable upon their discovery.
It actually depends on the subcom. The boss minions have colors, the misc minions don't. I agree it has room for improvement; I'd like to see secondary colors used for one.
I think you mean for allied comms do you not? The enemies colors I am fine with as it reflects which faction they are from although I can definitely get behind what you say about the confusion from your own team as to what units are yours and which are AI controlled.
Yes, I was referring to allied subcoms. However, I also like wondible's idea about secondary colors on enemy subcoms.
Oh. I never actually noticed that enemy subcoms did not share their faction colors / secondary colors. /mahbad/
