This is more fixes, including an issue where the spectator panel broke when a player in game died (no updated econ info.. mucho sad). Some more galactic war tweaks, fixes and errata. If this build looks good overnight, it will likely be promoted to stable in the morning, unless major new issues (i.e. don't already exist in stable) are found.
Please consider giving at least a basic vehicle tech to sub commanders. Because actually they are sharing your tech and when you play commander commander you must chase with turret your first games if you are unlucky... with your subs doing nothing else than covering the world with resource buildings.
Or make AI better at comboxing. Maybe program him to combox and do so well and know to resort to it when no factory blueprints exist. How was this the first response to new PTE? That is ridiculous, this is a stable issue, post it in stable, not here just because it is fresher. Meh, whatevs lol. Ima load a GW game up in it now, see if airplanes fly ABOVE the ground for a change
That is still a known issue that has been fixed locally (as in it is on my machine, not even checked in yet). The fix touches something that a lot of other crap relies on, so we need to test it pretty thoroughly to make sure something else doesn't break.
Yea, Orbital Commander can got orbital. It's still tough starting out, but at least you've got more than the commander's weapon (if you can build it in time) The .app still crashes on OS X. I'm comfortable running it from the command line, but I might be fairly unique there.
In GW, if you review the game with chronocam after winning, you may end up with the option menu Chronocam / Game Settings / Main Menu / Quit PA, but no option to return to GW. Had to go to Settings / hit Back to re-trigger winning screen.
Tried again to see if anything went to the log console; remembered "Report Problem" included some text, was able to copy it. Looks like there is a relative path to a library. It "works" from the command line because I'm going to that directory. If I cd .. and run MacOS/PA instead of ./PA I get the same error message. AI commander are some times getting stuck in rocks. This seems to appen after game start because they built something before.
Had some under the radar flying today on a lava map, rectifies itself when attacking. found the spot where it happened but cntrl alt f11 didnt show anything suspicious. Used the numbers and letters too when in f11 mode, still nothing obvious. Another major bug that keeps coming back is the air scout description. Maybe its a similar bug to the mac oxs one we had back in alpha. Not sure if its a bug or an awesome trick i shouldnt tell people, but if you tell a bomber to assist an enemy building, it will hover over it and attack it with great efficiency, when it gets a little tired from this it lands and continues to attack. Would also be nice to be able to use the avatar commander in pte builds to better test orbital, as it can take some time to get that far.
+1 to that. Or perhaps we could have that be a spawn option that hosts can choose to enable in the lobby. "Enable avatar commander"
I am having the exact same issue. Game ran fine last night. Won't load up today, either from Steam or from the executable within the pa.app package. If someone has a workaround please post. thx.
