@Festour said me on another website that he had same problem with 331.38 and bypass them with downgrading to 304.117.

Can you please check it and post here about results?

Same error with AMD 8850M and fresh 14.04 x64 install on a Dell 3540 that runs an i5-4200U and it's HD4400 GPU for 2D and the AMD for 3D. This is the ONLY Linux compatible game I have issues with. :(

Anyone else on the AMD side have this issue? I am dual booting 8.1 and 14.04, so far it's been an easy and painless experience...until trying to play my favorite RTS on the OS I am converting to.

I suppose you using open source drivers for both GPUs?

For now you can only run game if you get Catalyst for AMD and will run X server on it.

I was trying to get it running on my mint computer. IIRC, running it with gksudo may have fixed that issue(but more came up after that).

You can try the PTE stream. It fixes this error in the case of the Intel cards, so you might get lucky with the Nvidia as well since they seem to have fixed Linux stuff. If that doesn't work, does the downgrading to 304 help as suggested by SXX a couple of posts above?
