is there a console command for this, cause i can't seem to get it working? Or is it currently not supported in beta? I'm hoping for some help on this as i'd like to start demoing to record over into fraps to edit in vegas...etcetc. Want to get some demo videos up and I'm kinda frustrated I can't find a console command listing for this anywhere- i just went 29K,17A,1D in one match as support and 20K/5A/2D (in the first like 3-4 minutes before steam went down and punted me out ><) as tank xD
demorec FILENAME demostop demoplay FILENAME Are the basic commands, although demostop doesn't seem to be working properly for me. Demos all play back in third person with no HUD and the behindview command doesn't seem to work to change to first person. I'd love for a proper working demo system to be included though, Fraps mongles my machine so hard while recording.
TY much for the info, and ya precisley why i wanted to know, fraps takes a good computer more than capable of running all kinds of simultaneous and streneous stuff and turns the frames to poop if recording live play
Umm, what? Demo playback works for you? I tried this early in the beta (big UT2004 player so I already knew the commands.) However I get nothing but a black screen when I play a demo back. You can tell that it's playing by the sound, though. It's still like that. Anyone know why?
devs replied that they disabled or something. Basically there are bugs to be worked out and it currently not working.

Funny dat, I have no trouble opening the console. I have a German keyboard and the key is "" here. Have you tried "^"?
