Credit for this suggestion goes to the Youtube comment from Schijt Dileahs that says "Trees should give visual cover from air units."

I liked this idea and as such decided to spread the word here to see what you guys think.

So what do you think? Should trees provide visual cover?

The trees now still give visual on the ground in between. I think they should only hide stuff if they were bigger and closer to eachother so you cannot see the ground. And maybe later tanks might run over trees so I don't think it will be a too great addition.

I do think trees should have more effect on gameplay, maybe its an idea to make an air unit need to be closer before seeing units within forests?

It did start me thinking; a radar would also have trouble spotting units in forests, it kinda could work for the same reason that its hard to distinguish a plane and a tree for a radar if a plane would fly "under the radar"

I guess it would make for interesting gameplay opportunities if some units (like T1 units only for instance) would be hidden from (or need to be closer to, to be spotted by) radar, by trees. Which would give more reason to not or in-fact more reason to burn down forests around your base.

Ok now I may start to ramble, but if burning trees could be visible through fog of war (or some other visual hint) this could nicely balance out; spotting from your base / your base being spotted/ creating distractions.

I really hope Uber tries to add in more even more ways, like these, that increase the strategic possibilities, without increasing micro management too much.

An infrared camera would spot units in the thickest of forests.
Being that the units have red tinted lenses, I am assuming that they can visualize infrared.
I like the idea of trees masking radar for ground units, but not masking line of sight.
I would be more in favor of an actual stealth system that can be employed by specialist units to block radar.

Tanks wouldn't be able to enter a dense forest (unless they were plowing through it), however bot's could easily sneak through a dense forest without giving away their position to the air. I think this would be a cool feature.

No I don't think it should do that, because you could (if you sit in an air plane) see giant mashines running in the woods ( at least I think so, because I haven't been able to test it "yet".) If this was the case I think someone would make a small radar on the plane so air could see it :)

I don't like the topic, but you have a good idea there.

Perhaps certain land features can hide ground units ONLY from radar. One of these would be "cover" like forests. Another could be landforms like craters and hills. And perhaps landforms a certain amount higher then a particular radar dish would also block that radar dish. Naturally, the orbital radar would be immune to landform interference.

Just give us an indication if we select one of our radars and zoom out, so we can see the areas blocked by mountains and such.
