    I wouldn't expect match making or a ladder before release. since balance has to be finalized before they can intelligently rank individual players.

    Altrough i understand a compagny must build hype around annonces, the person writing the news is using the word "Awesome" at an alarming rate...
    Only 13 times in the first news page from the PA website :D

    Matchmaking/ladders in an alpha/beta/gamma game with the balance changing week to week would be pointless in my eyes.. No need to open up the competition in this phase of development, not when there's optimizing, galactic warring and new units and mechanics to be done/tested at least.

    They could reset ladders when they do major balance changes. IMO if player base is big enough, implying matchmaking and ladder makes equally skilled players to play against eachothers ( = good thing). Btw. Does anyone know how much players there are playing at EU prime time?

    yeh just tell us, so people can start moaning about it right now, rather than tomorrow when it appears. /sarcasm.

    Hype is integral to game development, whether you like it or not, and we already get told WAY more than we normally would about a game's development, so why so glum, chum?
