Well at least they said that they'd give up on Google+.

This is not a good substitute though.
I'd rather have a barren wasteland of nothingness than Twitch getting the YouTube treatment.

I'd rather Google buy Twitch than a bunch of killer robot companies.

Google already has a bunch of killer robot companies, they just don't tell people this because torturing people that know about their giant robot army is something they prefer to keep a secr--

Oh, hang on someone's banging on my door.

It's in Google's active interest to ruin Twitch if they acquire it. Which is of course implying that Twitch isn't already kinda shitty.

    Big company buys small company.

I don't care as long as livestreamer stays functional.

    1) Why would you send message if someone is at your door, rather than leave it half typed and just get up and come back to finish and send?
    2) Why would google, which owns more than enough resources to censor the internet, not make that message disappear altogether?
    3) How is google owning a metric asston of tech a secret? They are more likely to use drones in business than Amazon is.

Twitch already has ads. Twitch chat / community is already so awful that not even google+ could ruin it. What are people kneejerking over, exactly?

I think it's the idea of Google having a total monopoly on the video streaming market

But there are plenty of sites just like Twitch out there. Livestreaming is huge now.

If that hyperbole flies, then so does my "Steam has a monopoly over the PC gaming market" argument :p

    People are overreacting, like always.

The main issue I can see is that a lot of people play copyrighted music on their streams and Google are really strict about that.
