    Hi guys, for some odd reason it appears as though this game does not have an FPS cap, making my GPU run 10x harder than it must. Is it just me or is the fps really not capping. This is the UT3 engine, so shouldn't it always cap at 62? That's what it says in the config files anyways.

    Do you have dual/quad core?

    I have a quad core. My fps is always +100, but that's not needed. I'm asking if there is a way to cap fps. Can you open the game and see where your fps caps just so I know?

    Well, this game has issues with multicores and often ends up running the game way too fast.

    Yes, but I am asking about the FPS cap. That has nothing to do with performance. Please, open the game, check your fps, and tell me if it caps at 62 or not.

    Mine is at 54 since I have a lap top XD
    But multicores, cause the game to bypass the FPS cap/overperform

    Is that so? I've never heard of that happening before. Is this happening with all people with multi cores?

    Here's the fix (at least how I fixed mine);

    Open up

    Code:
    %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games\UnrealEngine3\HostileGame\Config
    in there you will find a file called HostileEngine.ini. Open that up.

    Use Find (CTRL+F) and search for bSmoothFrameRate and change the value to False.

    Save the file, close it, and enjoy.

    My game now caps out at 90 fps.
