Well, it seems the new balance just went live!

In light of this, may I suggest a renaming of the tournament to 'King of the Grenadiers'?

It's going to be interesting to see what these players can come up with. I'm sure there's more to it than just grenadiers, even though they do seem really strong.

VOTE: Will the latest patch help or hinder PAG_Matiz in King of the Planet #5?

We may well have a bug patch on friday, or after the weekend, or none at all until the next full patch, who knows.
I'm confident these players will "use what wins", and may even come up with unforeseen counters to certain OP strategies.

Previously King of the Planet has been a really good way to watch top players develop the meta, exploring possibilities which haven't previously been considered. I think burntcustard has the advantage unless Matiz has another date tonight.

I'm pretty sure they're both going to go ant spam + infernos with only small number of early grenadiers. Atleast burnt will i'm almost certain.

Matiz.. from his last games on the 16th doesn't seem to even build combat fabbers so I have no clue really where he's at.

I'm personally in favor of Custard on this one. He's gotten more solid with every patch. This one is no exception

Did you see this game? Burntcustard showed how to use Combat Fabbers to get a huge advantage over your eco since early game.

Exactly. I've tried to use the combat fabbers to similar effect, but it's difficult. It's a very precise build. Disrupting it is pretty difficult in itself, but i think first air might be the best choice.

Burnt hasn't the mechanics so matiz will win me thinks. The best players don't play anymore so that may give bc a little edge but not enough.

I remember playing matiz before and commending him on his multi attacks all over the map so this alone will help him beat a build timer like bc.

Custard does excellent multi attacks himself and has a ton more practice under his belt than matiz. Matiz has been reviewing custard's replays, but unless Matiz gets some practice in it's going to be a curvestomp in Custard's favor.
