I was redirected to here, so here comes my question/problem again:

Hellos. I wonder why my mods don't work at all? I install mods using PA Mod Manager but none of them (Hotbuild2, In Game Timer and PA Stats) don't work. PA Mod Manager shows that they are installed, but I can't see them ingame nor either my games are not recorded at PA Stats webpage. Perhaps I missed something but after looking for forums, I couldn't find anything.

I bought this game from Steam and it should be up to date (version 64498 - win64).

One common problem is related to a bug in PA. If your Windows username uses special characters, the game won't know how to find the mod directory. I think the workaround for now is to change the account name or use a guest account.

    Hi,

Regarding the submission of new mods (& version updates), could we use the download feature available directly into github ?

    eg.:
    github.com/pamods/uimod-AlertsManager/archive/eb1b1816160f84196bec017fe7a75ee6da37703b.zip

I don't like the idea to fill a git repository with binaries, and we would only have to make pull requests for modlist.json change.

Some changes in pamm would be necessary because the archive contain a root directory (eg.: eb1b1816160f84196bec017fe7a75ee6da37703b) and a repository can hold multiple mods at once. I can work on the idea, but maybe there are already some ongoing change related to pamm ?

    Regards

I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus and when I download this application then proceed to drop it to my desktop Kaspersky has a nervous breakdown and opens 3 windows telling me its malware and then automatically deletes it. :D Please help before I have a nervous breakdown as well. :D

Well most of those mods already use a separate github repo. But it something to look at maybe...

Well first of all it's not malware. Everyone who's used or made PA mods can support that. Second, I think the best way is to add a file exception to Kaspersky for it.

Or just switch from Kaspersky to an AV less prone to giving false positives.

so here's something interesting. Apparently you don't need the c:/program files (x86)/planetary annihilation folder anymore. The new launcher seems to install everything into C:\Games\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation Launcher\Planetary Annihilation.

just deleted the old folder and the game still launched and played normally.

Using github archives is a bit harder than expected :( the crappy Msxml2.XMLHTTP component doesn't allow crossdomain redirects, depending on some IE settings ...

I am noticing that "Launch PA" From PAMM launches an outdated game executable than the one that is launched by the new PA Launcher app.
