I have tried pressing F5, reverifying the game, and waiting 10 minutes to no avail. The game will not allow me to create a lobby, even to just try a game 1v1 against the ai. It remains stuck in the loading screen with the planet background, version number at the top, and the friends list to the bottom right. All other UI interface elements are not present. This is the first version I've had a problem with this, and previously it would take maybe 1 second before opening up a lobby. Some of my system specs: cpu: AMD Phenom 2 X4 955BE 3.2 GHz ram: 12 GB DDR3 gpu: Radeon 7950 Boost 3GB w/catalyst 13.12 drivers...I'll try upgrading to the new ones (14.4) released today, but doubt it will fix it.
I had that too. It turned out to be a mod interfering, I think. I haven't identified the culprit yet though. In any case, if you have any mods, disable them all and see if it works then.
Thank you for your advice. Turns out it was a mod. I disabled them all, and now it's working without issue.
It was indeed a mod, it worked again when i turned the "blackscreen fix" mod off but there might be other mods that can cause this problem.
