Player behaviour.

Hi PA community,

Today I played a couple of matches on pa and I encountered something that I found a bit disturbing.
I was in a 2v2v2 match and there was a player saying things like, I quote directly, "u guys are so noob" ,"faggots", "[insert playername] is a faggot". He also said "I know all the good guys" -> Looked him up on pastats he was pretty good. BUT this doesn't give you the right to ruin people their gaming experience.

Now what I wanted to say is that there is no report system to report this kind of behaviour in PA like in Dota you can rate peoples behaviour give them thumbs up, etc... I feel like there should be a system to do something like that?What do you guys think of this?

The social features of PA aren't complete. There's some big updates yet to come on this stuff.

I haven't heard anything about a report feature, but I imagine it'll be added eventually.

On a side note, I'm surprised you encountered someone like that. I've played a lot of people and watched a lot of people play a lot of people, and I've never encountered a Call of Duty player.

The PA community is a pretty awesome one.

You get scum bags in all games.. unfortunately its only a matter time before some players on here show their true colours or discover this game.. I havealready met a few of them on here and they are disgusting human beings.

I found a lot of players on world in conflict multi player go on about PA.. Giving it a try ect and most of them are horrible people with immature views on social standing so to say the PA community wont get these scum bags coming in is rather daft i'm afraid but i do agree.. For the most part i love the community here SO FAR..

As long UBER don't use a system like supreme commander FAF which is ridiculously stupid on so many levels then i think they should do a good job.

Name and shame the guy. Best way to stop this. Especially if they are known players. Bare in mind it can also be easy to have the same name as players, but if the game is linked on pastats to their account than it is them, there is also a way around that if you really wanna troll bad.

There was some guy a while back, think he got banned, name was "be violent torwards babies and do horrible stuff to women against their will" or something along those lines.

Unfortunately, 4chan members sort of wander off every which way, but at least they notice our neck of the woods less often than Call of Duty and such.

Then again, this game does have the most basic social feature of all, block. You can block players for sure. Encounter them once, never play with them again. When you can do that, why does their rating matter?

I disagree - forum witch hunts are extremely counter-productive. Best reaction to this sort of thing is to report the player to Uber, who have logs of this sort of thing and if necessary can take appropriate action. Otherwise just block them.

He means to embarrass the crap out of them while it's happening. The same tactic used in boot camp by drill sergeants to get lazy bums to shape up

I don't know what game do you guys play saying it has awesome community who is mature in chat. Basically in every single big FFA or big team game there is some douchebag calling people noobs or his teammate a noob etc.

It also gives people a reputation they actually want.

Like Odokee from SMNC. Nobody even knows if that is a person or a pseudoname someone uses to troll, but you troll online, be as vulgar as possible, and suddenly your infamous. It is like playing Fable with actual people on the internet, being infamous is as powerful as being famous just in a different direction.

Generally, make them not-so-well-known, just block them and move on. Everyone block them and move on, they eventually run out of playerbase to harass...

Also, martenus, every game? Seriously? You find 1 bad sport every game? What game are YOU playing? Finding bad sports here is like finding bad sports in chess, they exist but arent very many in intellectual strategy games, this game has more than chess, but seriously, are you sure you aren't accidentally talking about GTA5?

It's just sad that someone that is better then some others behaves like a total douche and says gay hating things.

I agree with cwarner: Just report them to Uber and block them. I haven't played in about 2 months (crazy, right?), so I'm not sure how the community has progressed, but when I did play regularly, I have to admit that, occasionally, people are absolute jerks in game. It's a real shame, especially if they're good at it, but that's the way it is.

Personally, I love Matiz's and Clopse's attitudes to other players, if all the top players acted like that we'd have the best community EVER.

(Edit: nothing against the others, these are just the two I've talked to/noticed the most.)

What about don't get offended by someone that behaves like that, just ignore it if you can. he/she has to live with him/herself for the rest of their live and you only get slightly annoyed for a couple of seconds. I think they will punish themselves hard enough by being a person that behaves like that.
