Would you ask a sports shoe manufacturer for a refund if you bought a pair of sneakers and got dunked on when you went down to the court to play? If you buy a bicycle and others rode faster than you, would you ask for a refund from the bike shop?

Sorry to hear that you don't enjoy the game.

Theoretically I think it should be possible to do a refund, as all they need to do is deactivate your accounts.

That said, the game is heavily under construction, and many, many things will change. If you like the concept, I recommend just setting it aside and having another go upon release.

I get hammered nine times on ten on this game, and I still feel like I'm having fun.

But of course, you are entitled to feel differently.

Due the digital nature of the media (a videogame) once installed on your machine it can't usually be refunded, unless you experienced technical problems that prevented you to play (use the product). But you said that you and your friend did play the game. So apparently you had no technical problem -> therefore no refund.

@maxpower made you an extremely kind offer, and since you have been kind and sincere as well, I have good hope that, perhaps in a private manner, Uber will come to an agreement with you guys and satisfy your request.

But do not expect that by default. As I said it before, you are unlikely entitled for a refund.

Beside this, Life can be tough. Who passed though hard times knows. I wish you the best of luck, guys! If it's that bad, it can only get better :)

ps. Last note, with all the time you spent on this thread, you could have watched some tutorials ;)

While the OP's situation is unfortunate and I feel sorry for him I cannot help but notice that he is EXTREMELY unpolite to friendly community members who are only trying to help him / be friendly to him.

It can happen that you purchase a game without knowing what you get into.
You can even ask for a refund (and someone is even trying to help you !).

But DO NOT attack other people because of the mistakes you committed yourselves.
I am not judging you as a player but as a person. These people are friendly to you and you are attacking them for no reason.

I bow before you, fellow community members, for handling him in such a friendly way.
I couldn't endure his self-pity and bitterness as patiently and as friendly as you.

This is a very clever troll.

If you can deal with all the bureaucracy involved in even getting a basic job I'm sure you're smart enough to contact support via the channels you brouth the game though and ask them there, for which the answer is probably "no" because "I'm kind of not feeling it" after obviously playing it is not a legitimate reason for a refund. The only stores where you would get that service is stores that explicitly offer a 30day money-back gurantee which I dont believe Uber offers.

The opening post wasn't a day old and the implied timeframe from his wording was around at most 7 days, which implies he's not talking about some stupid sums such as 100$+ per copy, for which I might have given it the benefit of a doubt.

The fact this is in General and not Issues is also suspicious.

It sounds to me like the OP would benefit from a ladder system, and a more active player pool. I also don't have a great deal of time to play due to work and other commitments, so I just mostly throw up a quick game vs the AI to check out the latest changes, but whenever I see the game list there are rarely more than a handful of games (for example I just did a check, with all the dropdowns set to 'Any' and there was a single 6 player game in progress, and zero pending in the lobby), so it doesn't surprise me that the OP would generally find games against people who are already good at the game and play it a lot.

My suggestion would be to wait until after the game releases, hopefully we will see a lot more player activity and a ladder system that will allow you to better find games against people of a similar skill level. Every one of my friends that backed this game during the KS haven't played it yet, and are all waiting for the release before doing so, plus some more that are waiting for release before deciding whether to buy it or not, so hopefully there will be plenty of people to play against of a similar level then.

I also feel he is a troll. Or he is a deeply deeply insecure person with inconsistent thinking. So you have no time and every penny counts but you bought a game at a price equal to (sale) or higher than it's final retail price and an RTS game to boot which do normally eat up a fair amount of time. You emphasize you are an adult but you feel utterly entitled that you should just be able to hand games back if you aren't good at them and you repeatedly turn the nicest offers of help against the person offering it and make out as if they are trying to say they are great and you suck.

If it is genuine then I say you should not be given a refund anyway. Refunds should be if the game does not work on full release, i.e. a buggy mess and not because someone is not good at them or their life is busy. But hey, maybe I am old fashioned. As someone said I suggest you contact support as the forums are not really for this I think.

I think this is very true. Op many people have tried to offer suggestions in a pulic forum and you have just decided to call them out as egostroking children.

I dont think you are being particularly adult throwing the toy out of the pram when you cant play with it correctly.

I also have a forty two hour a week job as a software programmer and do unpaid overtime, plus have a disabled partner that I have to make sure is ok. On top of that, I do twelve hours of sword fighting per week. Many others on this forum are probably in a similar situation.

I still have time for games of PA. I dont post on forums and ask for my money back when I have a losing streak, accusing others of ego stroking for offering me tips. I just put the game down and go take a break and come back again when I want a challenge. :)

Guys, please refrain from attacking the OP.

The official way of seeking support in these matters is the Uber Entertainment support page: http://support.uberent.com

As was mentioned though, due to PAX there may be a delay.
