I call them simply 'bots' because I usually only use the 'bot fabber' or 'bots' (Dox) when I use T1 bots.

Stop using such irregular languages where every form of a word is a matter of agreement.

Actually, many of us just refer to them as Assault Bots as that's what their Json script name is. And there isn't an official plural for Dox, though Scathis and Dox himself might both have their preferences.

As a core player I can tell you ak wasn't useless... They actually cost less than the pw, so you should always have more.

The reason pw were better in some situations was that the emg weapon fired through friendly units a and thus stacked. The lasers on aks and gators required los so needed more micro to be effective. However in good hands they could be deviating for early rushes :)

There was no friendly fire collision in TA, so AK/gator lasers could shoot through friendly units also.

I'm probably thinking of spring there (been a while since a played ota)... Still I maintain aks were an underrated unit (as was core in general, used to love my pyro rushes!).

Never did I use AK's once I was familiar with all the units. The core's 'thud' was easily the best t1 infantry unit though, needed micro+click attack skill though to reap its full potential. Ahh I'm getting all TA nostalgic...
@raevn Still planning to work on the TA mod for PA?

I would go for Dox singular and plural alike. It sounds the most elegant one.

I go with doxen. Took me a little bit to get used to it but it definitely sounds better to me now than doxes, or simply dox.

Fox - foxes, so I'm going with Dox - Doxes.

    And yet, Ox - Oxen.

Welcome to the absurd irregularity of English :)

It's because it's basically a combination of all European languages. Imagine a puzzle. The complete picture being English and the pieces being Latin, German, French, Greek etc. Now imagine someone got very fed up with the puzzle and just forced the pieces together by punching them flat. Behold, English.

Hopefully you can get someone to do the remodelling as long as there isn't too much trouble with "intellectual property".

If there's such thing as intellectual property, do stupid people have no possessions?

If you apply Latin, it'd be "Doces", so I use that.

(Atrox -> atroces, vox -> voces, etc.)

Well I guess that is the nature of having languages that form and change over hundreds of years, as well as mixing with other languages. Apparently the plural Oxen derives from Old English when a lot of the English language was quite different :)

I must admit I'm not really overly fussed what people call it, but I would say that Doxen would be my least favourite.
