2V2 Tournaments?

I am just wondering if there is any 2v2 tournaments happing or in the works, which can be joined by anyone? As it seems that many of the tournaments are 1v1 or exclusive to the top twenty players and don't allow for some other players to try their hand at the competitive scene.

The last two tournaments were 2v2, but there are no more planned right now. If you want to take the lead in organizing one, I'm sure people will join! Otherwise, you might have to wait a while for the next one.

Well last PACE tournament was 2V2 it took a while to get 16 teams together.
Next PACE tournament is Swiss on 19 April, so ideal for newcomers to get into the competitive scene.
And the Tournament after that is a Swiss where players from previous tournaments who got 10 points can't compete in. So there you'll find less "top" players.

Actually, I did enjoyed watching the last 2v2 Tournament. It seems to me that PA offers greater possibilities than what a single player can put in action, and a team of two has better chances to exploit more sophisticated strategies.

What would be required to set up and start one of these? Are there any specific details to it? I have absolutely no experience in this field!

Well I think we are going to do some 2V2's in the "near" future in PACE.

Just casual get together with mates who play PA. Find people, invite em to play with ya.

I can help you organize a tournament in 2 weeks time if that doesn't crash with the pace tournament. We could do it like 3 tournaments ago where a good player was matched with a weaker player. Everyone entered alone and was match up with someone on the opposite end of their skill level or well similar if you are average. Really beneficial for newer players.

The weekends of the 12th and 26th are tournament free. It's about time for another clopsey

12th of April it is so for the Spring pro-am 2v2 tournament. Will sort out the specifics later but looks like we won't be teaming up again twitch. You will be making it into the pro bracket!

That would be great! Although I am doing these enquires as a friend and I would want to compete together. This being said I still think it would be a good idea to try and accommodate those who don't have a partner and are looking for one. So maybe we could have entrants from both categories? On one of the dates stated below?
