The thing is, some people died to, say, an Ubercharge thier first match and ragequitted forever.

Those are the kind of people we're talking about here. The kind that get owned by some un-understandable force and leave forever and ever.

Assassins are a nuisance to every new player. Give it a few hours and you will hear their cloak. A few hours more and you will be hunting them instead of the other way around.

New players might want to turn down the music a bit and play with the Assassin in Blitz. Learn to listen to the sound the cloak makes.

QQ-ing is crying/complaining. (Q.Q) is a crying face, apparently. It did, however, give rise to the excellent expression "less QQ more pew pew".

It originally meant ragequit. There was once an MMO where the shortcut to exit was ALT+Q, Q or something similar.

That said, less QQ, moar pew pew is still epic.

I had quite the opposite experience when learning this game.

While I find some multiplayer games intimidating, and am sometimes afraid to even try to get better (I'm looking at you Starcraft 2), MNC was lots of fun from the get-go, even when dying.

Death is quick, and respawn is instant. Even when being backstabbed I was like "SONOFA! I'll get you next time!" and then back into the action.

GOOOO ACTION!

But really I found the game to be fun to learn, and I can't say that about many online multiplayer games. You can have fun with some individually great moments, even if your team ends up losing. I didn't find the learning curve to be that steep, and I haven't played a competitive first or third person shooter online in a very long time.

Are those the same players that also play Call of Insta-headshot: Lame Ops?
In COD and MOH you die FIVE seconds after going out, if you are not camping\hiding.
So I dare them to bitch again about MNC.
Oh, and this game was released FOUR ******* DAYS AGO.
TF2 IS OUT FOR 4 YEARS NOW.

You can't drop into a multiplayer game and expect to own. You're going to get destroyed by the people who know how to play until you yourself learn how to play. So many itty bitty baby men...

That being said, when your friend gets grappled by an assassin I'm sure he'll feel much better going back to TF2 and getting backstabbed by spies. Insta kills in any game are you being punished for the fact that you're not aware of your surroundings.
