This game has a lot of potential... But it needs more! (Suggestions)

I'm going to try and keep this short... But no promises!

So first off, this game has a lot of potential. I can foresee it becoming very popular but it needs a lot more than what it has now. Here are my suggestions for what I think it needs most:

• Storymode - Give this game a reason to be played in single player mode! It needs a good story! Perhaps some super evil alien race is trying to take over and you have to stop them?
• More Tech - The amount of tech present is good but I think even more would be better! And by tech, I mean more structures/units you can build.
• More Customization - Instead of just skins, why not allow players to have a lot more customization over their armory stuff, including units and structures instead of just the Commander? And not just default skins and color... Things like changing arms, legs, head, etc. Mix and match!
• More Planet Types - The planets need more variety! And not just in type, but also in color! For example, the random generator should also account for flora color instead of always being green on Earth planets, as well as flora design. There should also be more types of planets, and you don't have to be confined to biomes we find on Earth. Like what if you had an entire planet made of crystals? Or how about one that was actually an entire living creature?
• More Space Battles! - We need spaceships! Like big spaceships! Then we can have huge fleet on fleet battles outside of the planets!
• Different Game Modes - Why always battling? What if we had other types of gamemodes like survival? Super limited resources? Escape a planet before it blows?
• More Ways to Start - I feel like everyone starts out the same; get units fast. Why not add other ways to start, such as greedy plays (like the ability to go for very early advanced economy stuff but be limited in units for a while)?
• Events - I think there should be events for planets/moons and in space! Like random meteor showers, horrible storms, eclipses that last a lot longer than normal (to make things interesting), earthquakes, flooding, etc.
• Bigger Solar Systems - I think the planets should be able to be placed further apart from each other, like having super far off distance ice worlds and super close lava worlds. I also think that the climate on planets should effect gameplay on said planet. Like really cold may make all your things run slower, and very hot may cause un-specalized units to burn up.

This game can become so much more than what it is now! I think that the most important suggestions of mine are Storymode, More Planet Types, More Space Battles, Different Game Modes, Events, and Bigger Solar Systems.

I hope you guys like my suggestions! I know this game is still in an early stage but that only means more time to get more features like the ones above implemented!

multi-planet spawn points allow for one to take over an entire planet before having to face an opponent.

neutrino has said he wanted to take his shot at murder party /phantom.

there's still gaz giants to be added.

you can make a world that's completely water by heightening the water level.

metal planets will have triggerable weapons and the system designer *may* eventually feature configurable meteor showers set for a certain time. This was an idea that neutrino liked.

well each commander will be differently balanced and have different weapons/abilities and piking them before a match will be part of the strategy, currently there is no difference.

I really can't decide if this is a serious post or not.

Why do you feel that way? I really think this game can improve a lot more and I'm sorry if I sound like a troll to you or something like that.

Also, Events and More Planet Types are really needed in my opinion.

Here's a quick rundown.

1: Galactic war is coming, which will be better than some binary story. There's also going to be stuff setup so people can make their own campaigns. There is also already lore in the game.
2: More tech levels are a bad idea. The game is intended so all units are valid at all stages of the game. Adding another level of more powerful units would invalidate other units and lower the quality of the game.
3: That'd be a bad idea. At a glance, I can look at the unit and know what it is and what it can do. If there's dozens or hundreds of different customization options – I will no longer be able to tell what units are what – let alone casual players being able to tell.
4: More planet types are coming. Remember, the game isn't finished and Uber is going to be constantly updating
5: Space battles would be a bad idea. Complex deep space battles like from Star Wars would be a game in of themselves. If that was added, the game would be so overly complex it would be impossible to play as a single player.
6: More game modes are being added
7: See #6 – this is also the realm for mods
8: Random events are a terrible terrible idea. Imagine playing a game and you're about to win but you lose because of a random event. Other AAA RTS game titles have explored this option and all found it to be detrimental to gameplay
9: Bigger planets and solar systems are already coming. The game just needs to be better optimized.

None of your ideas are new. I'd recommend you search around on the forums and find threads on those topics. There's tons of threads already on all of these topics.

Why isn't he sure if this is serious or not? Because every single one of these points aren't new. They're already confirmed to being worked on or confirmed to be not included.

I applaud your enthusiasm and am grateful for attempting to contribute to the community.

He feels like its a troll post because most of your suggestions have been mentioned numerous times, some of them already confirmed by developers and others are confirmed to not be the focus of the game.

Look, I'm not a troll, I'm just mistaken, and I really don't want to give myself a bad reputation on these forums just because of this. I'm really sorry. Lock the thread and move on but don't see me as a bad person because of it. I'd hate to be frowned on for everything I post here.

But to clarify, this wouldn't really work in the context of the game because there's nothing really to takeover in this universe.
Commanders are already blowing up planets left and right for sport, and one of the commanders (Osiris) would be absolutely ecstatic to find aliens or anything resembling humans.

Although, now that I mention that, another commander is doing whatever he can to wipe out ALL organic life in the universe, so maybe there'd be a war between the two factions that decide the fate of the aliens.
