Squads

    Is it possible to make squads like in TA or SC? I mean the ctrl+1 => +10.
    If not, it would be a helpfull tool...

    it works exactly as you described, have you tried yet? you can also anchor the camera. i always forget the keys off the top of my head. But the controls section of your PA options will have a plethora of personalization at your disposal.

    If you press ctrl+[number] it sets them to that number. Then just press the number to recall those units or buildings.

    You should look at your game's keyboard shortcuts. There's lots of cool stuff in there.

    We can actually make up to 10,000,000 squads, if I remember the number correctly. Your keyboard probably doesn't have quite that many numbers on it, but it opens up a lot of possibilities for mods that automatically create those groups.

    These are usually referred to as "control groups" due to the association with the ctrl key. Squads is generally used to refer to units that act as a single unit but model wise or functionally are more then one unit (eg. company of heroes, homeworld 2, cossacks 2)

    The way units group up when under a control group or simply when moving a selection is usually referred to as formations in most games (unless I'm mistaken). Some games have the ability to select patterns for said formations, notably RTS games that deal with the early ages in history. Some games also have special stats associated with units under the influence of a formation (notably morale/fatigue in cossacks 2).
