pfft you people just like to play long *** game vs ai, I find it boring as the AI is so predictable. I played some games vs the hard AI one time and rush em to death! :D although one game the rush failed and the AI got a bit ahead of me but I don't build an anti nuke, I build a NUKE and I nuked his nuke LAWLs FTW! it was epic my nuke hit him when his nuke just finish construction and was ready to fire  than of course my army finished him off

Cool! I like building a nuke before hard AI build his too. Once, we launch our nukes together but mine hit right on their commander and he died!

I think this is the old "I want to play a game different from the one I bought" thread.

Starcraft does not support starting out, building a base on your first resource pile and living there forever. That may be the game you want to play but it's not the game Starcraft supports.

PA does not support starting out, building a small base and living there forever. That may be the game you want to play but it's not what you paid for.

Starcraft is about securing new resource sites, preventing your enemy from doing the same and beating him in highly micromanaged battles where combat efficiency is king.

PA is about securing new metal spots, destroying your enemy's economy and beating him with a large scale macro strategy of constant economic expansion and sending the right mix of units to keep him distracted so that he doesn't notice what you're really setting him up for.

So all of the comments on how to weaken the AI or hopes that future updates will give you more options are all very nice and well-meaning but you'll be a terrible PA player if you follow that advice. If you want to play PA in the way it was intended and actually be good at it, learning to beat the AI is a good first step. The AI isn't that great, really, but it will at least force you out of your tiny turtle base. Players will do that too, but faster and more ruthlessly.

Not sure if its still there with the new lobby's but you could set a economy rate that had an influence on the AI his recourses gain.

I had someone curse me out in a game the other day for beating them too quickly. Mystified me really, I mean, how else would I play but to try and secure the win in the most efficient way possible?

When someone tells me they're new I try and give them tips in chat, but I'm still playing to win.

So Star-Trek-Classic with the graphics. Expected it to be narrated by Shatner.
