I sent a ticket last night to Uber and haven't gotten a reply yet. I just bought this game last night from steam since it was 40% off and I've been waiting for it to come closer to launch before purchasing but I seem to be unable to even play it.

here is the ticket that I sent to Uber

    "message appears

"Error connecting to UberNet: 'Couldent resolve host 'uberent.com' Unknown
Error. Please contact us at support@uberent.com"

after displaying this message for a few seconds, the game crashes and I get
    a dialog box saying:

    pa.exe has stopped working.

I just bought the game off of steam and would hate to think that i can't
    run it
    ."

This has been an ongoing issue for me concerning several games. I've turned off my firewall tried updating my wireless adapter driver and nothing seems to work.

The issue first started happening about a month ago when I was trying to log onto WoW, I kept getting a message saying

    "Battlet.net Error #2 Can't login"

This has been an issue with Titanfall, where I got the issue saying

"Engine Error" "Couldn't allocate any server IP Port, tried 2 addresses."
sorry to reference other games here but I've come to the conclusion that these issues are all related. (which is why I have referenced them) a lot of my games aren't working anymore steam and non-steam alike due to connection issues on my end. Can someone please help me figure this out? I'm not super great with troubleshooting and have had absolutely no progress thus far.

HOWEVER, a game such as Hearthstone works like a charm with absolutely no issues whatsoever. could it be sometime with my router settings??

What exactly firewall or anti-virus you use?

Currently I have no Antivirus installed since I have been trying to fix this issue. One program I did install however was ADWCleaner. I also posted onto CNET in hopes of finding some answers concerning this issue but with no real progress made so far.

My firewall is just Windows Firewall (windows 7)

I would link the thread but apparently I cannot post links here. I can send you it in a message or something if you are interested.

I'll summarize everything that I have attempted so far.

1:Checked windows firewall for permissions (the program had access)
    2:Turned off Firewall
    3:Removed Antivirus (Spybot S&D)
    4:Changed default DNS to Google's (both IPv4 and IPv6)
5: Checked for wireless card driver updates. (none available)

Other than that I really have no idea what else could be wrong with my setup.

This is starting to really drive me nuts lol.

edit: added what firewall I have.

Mighty - your drivers are from 2012. So even once we figure out why you can't connect to host, you'd probably crash anyway. So get those updated.

Do you have any other machines you can try from? Just to even see if you make it past that? Unreachable host is almost always a local routing/DNS issue. Meaning, there's only a little we can do to debug it on this end. Something is getting in the way.

    Updating drivers now.

unfortunately, I don't have anything I can try it off of. I used my old laptop for testing WoW however and that game worked perfectly fine on the mac. just not on my PC setup. (Error #2)

As for the DNS issue, any ideas where I could at least start looking? I already tried changing it to google's provided addresses.

MIghty - I'm inclined to think it's something on your computer. Something installed that's either intercepting your TCP and UDP traffic before letting it go, or something else. If you're using a VPN, or possibly even ADWCleaner is doing something to intercept your traffic?

Normally, this has either been a simple router problem, or Panda or some other AV breaking things.

Could there be another proxy involved? Do you use your school's internet?

I agree, there must be something on my computer that is blocking it. But even without ADWCleaner the problem persists. And no, I'm not using a VPN.

If its my router that is is issue is there some way I can check that? I know that I used to host a server off my computer and had to mess around with some port forwarding. Could that be the issue there?

Oh, and here is the current DxDiag

    Edit: Updated the DxDiag

Also I can run a traceroute if that would help. I just would need to know what server address to input.

Verrrrrry interesting, tried again with another site (this time google)

    Code:

Looks like a DNS issue here, but how to solve it is the question now.

Do you have any other computer to test tracert with? So you could tell if the issue is that your windows is somehow broken or if it is the fault of your router?
Not being able to do a dns lookup on google.com is VERY weird. It makes me wonder how you are even able to browse the web.

Sorry that the reply took awhile, but I managed to borrow my house mate's Windows 8 laptop and performed a tracert command for uberent.com

    Here are the results.

As for not being able to even perform a trace route on my own machine, it makes me wonder if there is a problem with windows itself.

I just would really really like to avoid re-installing my OS.

Google lists tons of different solutions if you check make query like this:
    Code:
"Unable to resolve target system name" windows
Unfortunately you can only test them on your own and there lot of reasons how you can break your networking.
